I bought this inexpensive French press as I was having company and my much more expensive one couldn't serve us all at one time. I was amazed at the great coffee. This French press makes. It's the same as my more expensive one. I know it won't last as long as the one that I currently have owned for about seven years, but it's very easy to clean and makes fantastic coffee.
Body still remains a great brand in the French Press market. You can't beat the price. I like the glass (others often have plastic) since I can see how much is in the pot - and it's easy to put in the dishwasher - although stainless steel might keep the coffee warm longer. Extremely easy to take apart and clean. I use all sorts of blended coffee in it from espresso to medium ground roast. Not disappointed.
I use my coffee press to steep my tea, and it works fantastic. While I'm waiting for my water to boil, I add my preferred loose leaf tea to the press, pour the hot water over it, place the lid on it, %26 cover it with a dish towel while it's steeping. I may be it would work just as well with coffee 😂😂😂
replaced a different type of bodum french so it would be less likely to break - like the other one did. This one certainly feels more "protected" and sturdy. The top is plastic with a metalic paint - I was hoping it would be metal. I still like it :)
Best way for a tasty cup of coffee. Lasts forever or until you break the glass carafe but Bodum also makes a plastic version that I do not recommend.
I love this French press! It's simple to use, easy to clean, and consistently makes a delicious, full-bodied cup of coffee. It looks nice on the counter, too.
love this overall. Make sure you get coarse grounds. anything smaller in size will put so many grounds into your coffee. My only other complaints are. They don't have an all stainless steel model. I dislike the cheap plastic handle. it just feels low quality. I would like to not have hot plastic off gassing into the coffee. Otherwise this works great. Make sure to get a tooth brush to clean the mesh. It helps a lot
It was decent, but it shattered in the sink when I washing dishes. It shattered after sitting in the water for several minutes. The water wasn't even super hot or anything, and nothing sharp was knocked against it. Not sure why it shattered, but I will be ordering a plastic one now. I had it for several months before it shattered though.
The lid's locking feature worked the first time; has been looser and looser with every subsequent use. Now, I have to lift the lid completely off to physically move it to the slotted opening. Despite hand washing the glass portion, it has cracked along the metal bands that hold the glass. So that lasted a couple days over a whole month. Very disappointing
Cheap, garage breaks way too easily. Lid leaks. Metal slightly bent can cause difficulty when inserting carafe into frame. Was $13.98 last year, def not worth $18 now. Why isn't there an option to replace the carafe if it breaks?? This is the second one I've had break from barely tapping the edge of the sink.
