Bondo Self Adhesive Body Patch, 932SRP, 2/Pack

This is pretty neat for fixing rust holes that are too big to just bondo over but the adhesive doesn't stick well to the car. Maybe prep it with super glue or something. I just stuffed a bunch of pieces into the hole and then used JB Weld putty for the hole.

Used this in conjunction with some larger mesh while doing a rocker panel repair. It cuts easy. Wished there was more product in the package so I just bought two. The adhesive sticks well enough unless you have a really dusty surface. Drilled through some areas for fastener holes and it held up well.

I was surprised by how well these self-adhesive body patches worked. I used them to repair a small rust spot on my truck's fender, and they stuck without needing to bother with additional adhesive or tape. The mesh is metallic, and while it is sturdy, it is still easy to cut and shape for any contour you need. I applied body filler, and after sanding it, the repair was very well blended. For the price, you really can't beat the quality. The two patches it comes with are more than enough for a few small projects. I'll definitely have these handy for any bodywork I need to touch up.

Product stuck onto the panel I was repairing very well allowing me to put the fibreglass bondo onto it.

This product worked really well once I got it to stay in place. I had to apply another product on it in order to get this one not to fall off, but it worked really well.

Doesn't stick

Got the job done but the adhesive is not strong enough to securely bond to metal surfaces - especially if you are using it behind a hole as a backing for filler. I recommend using a couple small dabs of bondo to help secure these in place before filling.

Bought this with the trusted Bondo filler and thought that 3M being behind this it would stick. Wrong, would not stick to clean parts that were either rough or smooth. Ended up using duct tape to hold this non adhesive patch in place, which the filler doesn't stick to that well. 3M should either improve this or ditch the product and avoid the negative advertising.

I bought 2 of these about a month ago and followed the directions for surface prep. The next day a came into my shop to continue the repair only to find both sheets had come loose. Very poor adhesive. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AN MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT. I purchased a fiberglass repair kit to repair the hole, in sheet metal, to enable to complete the repair, and Bondo Glass to complete the job.
