BONNIE DID A NICE JOB SHIPPING AND PACKING MY TOMATO PLANTS !!! THIS IS A GOOD PLACE TO BUY FROM!!!!!
they were healthy, steadily growing
These tomato plants must have been jostled around quite a bit during shipping. some leaves were bent up. I transplanted them and watered them. They are still alive and starting to perk up. Next time I think I will order the heirloom seeds and potting soil, to start them myself.
I bought Four German Queen and Two Beefsteak Tomatoes Plants. They arrived today. There was a big box that held four tomato plants and a smaller box that held only two. So you would natural assume that the lager box had the four German Queen and the smaller box held the two Beefsteak plants. There was no tag in the smaller box. Not on the pots or with each of the plants. In the bigger box only one of the four plants had a tag. It was in the pot and it said Beefsteak. But there was another tag laying loose at the bottom of the bigger box and it said German queen. So my question is" Which tomato plants are which? Or do I have to guess? Or am I suppose to wait till they make tomatoes to find out? I was excited for them to get here. But now I am sadden and disappointed. I have not been inside a store for over a year. I have grown and sold plants for years and they do not go out the door if there is no tags, or they are discounted and sold as grab bags. An as a side note just to let you know FEDEX (or at least the person who brought our turned the boxes on their side spilling some of the soil in the bottom of the box. They apparently disregarded the fact that the box said this side up. Just like who ever sent my plants disregarded the fact that I would want to know which plant is which. I realize it may not matter to some one else. But I am a plant person. An it does matter to me. My parents grew German Tomatoes almost all of my childhood. Even though Beefsteak is close the German Queen is closest to them, if not the same one. I can tell the difference. Just like I can tell the difference between a tulip tree and a saucer magnolia which may look like it is the tulip tree because of the shape of the flowers but it isn't. So please make sure your costumers know what each plant is. Even if you have to write it on a piece of paper with a sharpie and tape it to your pots. It would be very helpful to know.
Ordered a total of 12 plants 6 different varieties these plants the pot is 4.5 Inces tall and.plant was.barely 4 inches outnof the pot I expected better from Bonnie nplants. Greman queen is the plant on the right in pic showing shipping container as compared ntona good plant the single shipping container you would think Bonnie would ship better quality plants
I ordered these plants on March 12th, they arrived on March 18th not looking well and nothing like what I expected. The plant person that I am thought that I could revive them. Unfortunately, no such luck because ten days later one is pretty much dead and the other is still struggling. Unlike the photo, these German Queen tomatoes arrived only about five to six inches tall, soil was extremely dry, and plants were very droopy. The box was set on my porch on its side, so the handling during shipment may not have been done well either as there was spilled soil inside the box and one of the plants was uprooted. However, the plastic cases they were in were impressive in an effort to protect them--too bad plants didn't seem to have a chance from their appearance upon arrival. This is the most that I have ever paid for a single tomato plant! I was hopeful that they would be more like what I buy from a local garden center or home improvement store where I buy most of my plants (if I don't start them myself). Sadly, these were no where near the hardiness of ones I buy near my home in Zone 8. Now, giving this company the benefit of the doubt, I have wondered that if I would have waited and ordered them later in the season if they would have been in better shape. There was another review written in April 2020, and that customer was very happy with their plants. Another review written in March 2021, this customer had issues. So perhaps, if you can wait until later spring (depends on your Zone), you may be blessed with healthier plants. I am writing this review before trying to ask for a replacement (which is what I prefer) or refund, so I hope that a replacement is possible. Good luck and happy gardening!
Plants arrived two days late, so they were dried out and wilting upon arrival. Unfortunately, they had dried out to the point that they could not be saved. Additionally, the soil tags showed them to be black cherry tomatoes, rather than the German Queens I ordered.
Delivery Driver can't read an arrow??? It's right on the box and they are too lazy to try and just keep the plants UPRIGHT. They need to STOP using Federal Express. The absolute worst delivery service on the planet. Worst.
I was very disappointed. When the plants arrived they were almost dead. We tried to revive them and we were not successful. The two tomatoe plants died. I will not order live plants online again.
In the past I've had great plants. However this time they look as if they got cold maybe. Not happy at all
