Bowflex SelectTech Dumbbell Stand, Device Holder, Fits any Tablet or Smart Phone

This stand is a must have if you have the Bowflex adjustable dumbbells. It gets them up off the floor and makes it easier to start/finish and exercise. Great product.

I like everything about the stand except for the safety straps. One doesn't line up right, so it can't be clipped and tightened. I would think that some kind of locking system from underneath the trays would be doable. It would be a much stronger hold as well VS the straps.

The stand was easy to assemble, sturdy and great looking. It fits and looks great in my small gym area. Best of all, it does its job and supports the 2 90 lb. Bowflex dumbbells I purchased it for. The only downside I discovered is that, if you're using the stand for the 1090s, you cannot secure the weight tray directly to the stand. Rather you need to secure the tray with strap that's provided a which obstructs the area your hand goes in to grip the weight. That said, it's still a very solid product and I'm happy with my purchase.

I had my first dumbbell set 17 years ago. I was always happy with the products. This time holy moly what an awful buying experience. Denied my payment twice. Had to call the hotline 6 times. Turns out it wasn't in stock. Why not just write that on your page or tell your service hotline people?

1090s should have their own specific stand. The smaller dumbbells are secured in place with screws. Whereas the 1090s are held in place with straps. When you reach for your 1090 dumbbell, the strap gets in the way of your knuckles and does not allow for fluid movement. By making a universal stand, it's shortcuts be higher weighted dumbbells. For as much as you pay for this equipment, they should have their own dumbbell stand specifically for this weight and not the shortcut of the straps. Very lazy on both flexes part. Weights are nice though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own many bowflex products and overall have been very satisfied. This experience was less than ideal. First, despite owning an ultimate II, the 552s, and an original XLT, they were unable to find me in the system. In addition to purchasing the dumbbell rack, I needed a replacement 50 pound power rod. They charged me for this power rod, despite it supposedly being a lifetime product... not a big deal During the ordering process, I made an effort to be specific about owning the original 552s, I bought the product shortly after it was released. If I was in the system, they would be able to see that clearly. I was assured that the new rack would fit perfectly with my first generation 552s... they didn't. I borrowed a friends newer model of 552s and they fit perfectly. I was able to modify the rack to get them to fit my needs, but overall it was quite annoying. Definitely my worst experience with bowflex.

The stand itself is easy to assemble, and provides a great height to grab the dumbbells from. Truly, a great concept and unique stand. However, like the other reviews have stated, the strap is a confusing and unfortunate engineering calamity. To keep the bases attached to the stand, rather than using a screw-on or snap-on solution, Bowflex went with a 2" strap and plastic buckle. Wouldnt be a huge issue by itself, but the way the strap holds the base, the buckle is awkwardly tightened just underneath the dumbbell handle. As a consequence, when you reach in to grab the handle, your knuckles get smashed between the handle and the buckle, making it a confusing and likely-untested engineering flaw. Truly disappointed, as the stand really is a great concept, but the strap and buckle issue makes it borderline unusable.

The method chosen to secure the dumbbell base to the stand is a giant plastic buckle that prevents you from being able to pick up the dumbbell properly. Very lazy and foolish design. I am very disappointed.
