this is so much nicer then I expected. it also came with a bread knife, that was a nice surprise. yes in the description it states that, but I missed that part. it's really well made and the sides snap in place when in use and folds up nicely for storage.
The bamboo is of premium quality as is the knife that comes with (very durable, cleans easily, seems resistant to gouge/scratch marks from cutting against it). On homemade bread, I especially like the magnet built into the slicer as this very sharp knife stays in place, with the slicer.
I am always hesitant to buy products such as this online, but I had the option to return it if needed. It is a nice product. I was unexpectedly surprised. The packaging and product were well-protected and displayed. It has not always been the experience in our global purchasing landscape. And my homemade Brioche bread slices beautifully. I see it is out of stock right now, but it is a very nice slicer for those who are looking for a bread slicer. (And with a knife %26 cloth bag to store it!) Thank you, Bambusi!

I bake bread regularly. I've been wanting a bread slicer for a while and finally decided to give this one a try. I love it. Not only does it work great for making perfect slices - but it's so pretty! Also I'm in a condo with limited space - so the fact that it folds up so easily is a real plus for me. You will need a nice long bread knife which I already had. I also usually wait until the next day to slice my bread which helps get nice even slices. I would highly recommend this!

Good bread slicer. Choices for thin or thick slices. Seems sturdy so far. Comes apart to be washed and dried. But, the knife that came with it is too big and heavy for the light sandwich bread I bake. Seems to be for thicker heavier loaves. My Rada knife works fine with this slicer.
pro: three thicknesses con: can't cut bread from top to bottom. You have to take the loaf out of the unit to cut the bottom portion can: not easy to use
Does not hold still. Very crooked slices. Wish I could return
