what a life saver. I came from Alaska where water was good moved to Idaho Falls and the water was tearing my gut up super bad. water still tastes chalky but no longer is giving heart burn and bathroom urgencies. boiling or leaving it out overnight was not working. something makes mold appear in the tap water and its very hard needing scaling on my kettle its first use.. Definately needs a filter!
I love my purchase at this very moment. I just finished filling it with water. It saves me on money because instead of me buying bottled water all I have to do is make sure that I replace the filter and I drink more water because of it. I love it. It's so convenient.
Absolutely love this water filter! Works with the exact same filters as the smaller sizes that Brita makes. Really like how you don't have to refill the water as often. The spout dispenser is awesome because you don't have to pick up a heavy pitcher to pour a glass of water. Just flip the spout, fill your glass and shut the spout. Fits perfectly on the center shelf in my fridge and takes up no more space than all the bottles of water I used to keep in the same spot.
I wish i had gotten this sooner! I spend so much on cases of water and feeling guilty about it i wanted something that could reduce that and wouldn't have to fill after only a few glasses cause lets face it the kids aren't filling this thing back up they're gonna leave it with an inch left in there lol This is big and convenient enough to last awhile i also got the newer filter which filters the water faster so it fills up super fast as well
We LOVE this filtered pitcher!! We have a filter on our faucet that works pretty good, but adding water from that filter and into this filter, it makes our water smell and taste like good bottles of water ❤️ We fill our ice trays from this as well. It sits perfectly on the shelf in the refrigerator so the only time that we lift it is to refill it from the filtered faucet and it goes right back into the refrigerator. (We have city water, but it comes from a well and we have severely hard water!! So this pitcher works double time to make our water taste sooo good!!) ❤️ Can not rate this high enough, so I'll say 100/10!! And this is the only one I'll buy from now on!! (This was bought to replace our last one that broke when it was accidently dropped 😔 Accidents happen, I'm just happy that they still have them in stock so that i could replace our last one that I bought over a year ago!)
I had a Brita faucet mounted filter, but I changed my faucet. I didn't give any thoughts about getting the filter back on it till I tried and apparently no one makes a faucet mounted filter for the one that I installed. So I looked around and this Brita had the most capacity of
This is a real improvement over the previous models, one of which I've used for many years. The shape is long %26 lean. No capacity is lost. The dispensor on this one is better quality than any of the others %26 easier to sue. This one fits neatly on my bedside table %26 takes up less space.
I love the water taste and how quickly it is filtered. I gave lower marks for design and ease of use because this is awkward to refill if you keep it in the fridge. I am unable to lift much weight due to a back injury, so I carry a water pitcher to the filter in the fridge. The lid opens up, halfway, to pour in the water. The lid hits the refrigerator ceiling…even after shifting the fridge shelves, so I pull the filter forward off the shelf. I hold it with one hand and my knee while I hold the lid open and pour the water pitcher into the filter. The lid needs a kick-stand to hold it open or it could slide back into the other side of the lid.
We love our Brita it truly does an awesome job at filtering water and the dispensing mechanism is super convenient however, ours started leaking from the spout a month after use, Brita offered us a free replacement without any hassle so I would still recommend especially if you have hard water!
Here’s a tightened, corrected version with a clearer, stronger statement about Walmart’s erroneous advertisement, while keeping everything sharp and cohesive: I owned a large Brita system like this more than twenty years ago, and that older model was outstanding. It consistently brought my tap water down to about 14 PPM. That level of performance is exactly why I trusted the brand enough to buy this new unit. Unfortunately, this model doesn’t measure up at all. My tap water starts at 152 PPM. After running four cups through this Brita filter, the reading only drops to 120 PPM. That’s barely any filtration. The water also moves through the filter housing far faster than it should, which strongly suggests the filter isn’t removing much of anything. Adding to the frustration, Walmart’s advertisement for this product was flat-out misleading. The listing clearly implies that the unit comes with Brita’s superior long-life black filter. That was a major reason I selected this model. Instead, it arrived with the basic white 2-month filter. That’s not a minor mix-up—that’s an erroneous ad that affects buying decisions. The reservoir is also nowhere near as practical as it looks. The product claims a 27-cup capacity, but in reality I can only add about 8 cups at a time because of how cramped the design is. For context, I run a rescue for 22 cats, and reliable filtration is critical. My Durastill unit—while a different category of system—has produced 2 PPM water for four years straight without a filter change. Since switching to it, the cats have had almost zero kidney or UTI issues. My previous positive experience with Brita made me grab this model immediately while my main unit is under repair, but this has been an across-the-board disappointment. If the filter is junk, it is all junk
