This Brita is really nice to have. I was tired of using ice cubes all the time for cold water. Yes, Tap water does get cold, and on a budget my hubby said, "no" at first, what he didn't know is the brita has the filters you can buy and the 2 fitler do different things, We got the extreme filter it pretty much takes everything out of the water, Harsh minerals and other things that can affect your health. It's why I bought it. Down side , you should refuil it each time you use it or someone will not have filtered water, It's just the 2 of us so, you kind of know who didin't fill it the last time they used it. No big deal we still like it real well.
I have been wanting a filtered water container for awhile. my water sometimes tastes like chlorine. lake water at times. this black stuff comes out thru the faucet filter. NOW, my water tastes so good! I can now drink all day long. makes my heart happy.
been using brita for years. expensive to buy the filters, but worth it because they last a long time. water tastes delicious! no chemical taste or smell. i use my brita everyday for everything i need water for, including filling up the dog bowl. we have lead in our water and i feel perfectly safe drinking the water out of the brita.
I have used a Brita pitcher for a couple of years. This Elite filter pitcher is even better. The water tastes better too. I have really hard water and my house is old, so filtered water is important to me. This pitcher is excellent and I highly recommend it!
Not a bad item for the price it's pretty thin plastic. I don't see it lasting long and it filters really fast which made me nervous at first, but the water is decent.
I think this pitcher will serve my needs. The water tastes good and pure. I used to have high iron/rust. I didn't receive any written instructions with it, and I don't know if I was supposed to, so I had to Google a couple things. This being the Elite pitcher, the diagram on the battery compartment has two pictures telling you which button to reset when you install the filter. If, like me, you don't know which button to use, it's the blue pitcher in the diagram. Just hold it for around four seconds. Also, other people said they were worried the battery compartment was too close to the water. This may be a concern, but I don't know yet.
Water doesn't taste as good as original ZeroWater but had to switch after Zero taken over by Culligan. It came with Elite Filter supposed to last 6 months. It lasted 7 weeks. I will see if a new Elite filter lasts longer. Running out of options.
The lid is really flimsy. I don't think the light on the lid helps. It didn't seem to be stable enough to help identify when the water needed to be changed.
bought the better pitcher hoping for good filtered water and really liked the feature of filter replacement sensor well the sensor went out and can't seem to get any help with it not real happy about that !!!
I was excited to see that the Elite filters are supposed to remove lead and micro-plastics and other contaminants that the regular Brita filter doesn't remove. Unfortunately, I've found that these filters are faulty more often than not. When they work, they take a bit of time to filter a full jug, it's much slower than the standard filter. I'm okay with this because the difference in the filtered water is noticeable. However, out of the last 4 filters I've purchased, only one worked. When it doesn't work, the water pours through the filter and filled the jug in SECONDS. And when it does this, the water still tastes and smells just like tap water. I've tried buying from different stores, and still, most of the time the filter doesn't work. I've given up on the Elite filters altogether as they are simply unreliable.
