Great little printer/easy plug and play setup. Amazing printer at this price. A few things you should know = this is a USB printer only. It will not connect by WiFi and it will not be recognized on your network. The USB cable you need does not come with it. The key is in the "little d" at the end of the model number. I think it would have an N if network and an i if WiFi but you'd better check.
This Brother printer is the best purchase for any student that's attending school due to the simple ease of great capabilities this printer provides. It definitely will accommodate the needs of any issues your student has or just to have around the house. Great price and reviews as well.
I ordered this printer online when I realized I needed one for school. It shipped very quickly (under a week) and I've had no complaints. It prints double sided so I can save on paper and it's small so it doesn't take up much space. Slightly more expensive than others on the market, but definitely worth it for the quality.
Love. This. Printer. I was so frustrated with my ink jet printers. Super expensive cartridges, bought commercial ones so the colors were all separate and the black extra large. That just means I had $80 worth of ink remaining when the print head failed. I didn’t really need color since I was mainly doing shipping labels and invoices, so I spent some extra time looking for printers this time looking for something cheap. This popped up at only $100 or so. Black only. Toner, not ink. I’m thinking that even if it is a disappointment, I’m not out much. Then I looked at the twin toner cartridge refill option for only $50, and started counting pages I could print, and was blown away. It doesn’t do WiFi. Cable connect only. But where I use it I don’t have WiFi anyway except for through my phone, and my other printer always took forever to connect up. Always waiting. So I bought a cable to connect it to my Mac USB-C and now when I hook up it’s available without a fuss. When I printed the first pages, they came out so fast I wondered why I hadn’t looked this way before. Most printers seem to push the photo clarity, or vivid colors, or cloud print or any number of other things that make you think you need them. I didn’t. And now I. Love. This. Printer!
Was in need of a USB black and white printer for home use. Researched Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot and found VERY few USB connected printers and what there was either had vague descriptions or were VERY expensive. WalMart's specifications for this printer answered all my questions without having to ask any questions, and considering the reputation of Brother printers my shopping was made easier and my needs filled immediately. I ordered this printer on September 30th and it was delivered to my home at 9:55 a.m. October 2nd.
I was looking for a basic, utilitarian printer that used economical toner vs expensive ink and was easy to set up and use. I was replacing a 7 y/o HP printer/copier/scanner that had a history of guzzling ink and causing more problems than it solved. From the moment I unpacked the Brother, I was delighted with the set-up instructions. It took me about 20 minutes from opening the box to printing documents. I chose to connect the printer manually to the USB port, as I already had a cable (which is not included). Every time I use this printer, it makes me happy. It is quick and quiet. It prints effortlessly on both sides, has a good sized paper tray and produces crisp, clear images. I have another color printer/copier/scanner for more sophisticated projects, but the Brother is definitely my favorite.
This printer is very basic and dependable. Prints only with black ink, which I love because there is no need to buy expensive colored ink. The printer uses a cable (not included) to print from a laptop or other device. I don't have a lot of items to print, so i don't mind using a cable. It is serving my needs very well.
this printer was purchased as a replacement for a Brother HL-L2300d that died. I chose the L2320d because it uses the same toner and drum unit as the 2300d and I had a supply. The new printer was a breeze to set-up and install and prints about twice as fast as the 2300d. Anyone who need a decent SOHO printer for not too much money will be happy with this device
Had this product for a few years and then it just stopped working. Worked really well, easy to use, but then one day it just stopped. No deteriorating performance, no warnings, just dead. There are no replacement part options, you can only throw out the whole thing and buy a new one. This is a good product, but like most products now it doesn't last and companies don't offer good warranties or replacement parts or maintenance. Guess they know there is no longevity in their products. Also, what happened to a green economy? Now you just throw away a perfectly good machine because 1 part doesn't last, wasteful.
I found this printer is not compatible with the latest mac operating system and no drivers from Brother to support this. It also didn't come with the cable I needed to connect to my computer, even if it did work. I'm sure it's a great printer (I have its predecessor and loved it. I've had it for years of great performance but it too no longer works because the drivers to operate it with Mac OS are no longer supported, so I was forced to replace it.).
