"The product was, for the most part, as described; I received the dumbbell handles as anticipated, though the spring collars were different than advertised— as opposed to the spring collars in the picture, they actually each came with a pair of “Cap Barbell Olympic 2"" Chrome Spring Collars.” This is a happy accident for me since these clips are much firmer and do their job much more reliably compared to the ones advertised to come with the handles (based on reviews). All in all
New locks are like clothespins. 1 - Weight of the dumbbell handle with locks: 3 lb.
Ordered as a pair, only one shipped but they quickly sent a replacement. The spring collars are super cheap and can't hold a 5lb plate I'm place. The knurling on the handle is pretty aggressive. If you buy these you might want locking collars.
false advertising, the clamps are not even close to what's advertised, and what's worse? the clamps are genuinely terrible, the worst clamps i've used in my entire life. have 0 grip whatsoever and they slide off with the lightest weight
Arrived damaged with a washer pinched by the bolt and hanging out. I had to take apart and use a vice to fix parts. Also had metal shavings I had to remove before using. Also did not arrive with the screw collars that are pictured only cheaper clips. Item feels sturdy now that it's together properly. Just could have been better if item was as advertised and had better quality control. I had the tools to fix the problem but not everyone is going to be willing to fix an item that is brand new. Pro: the cylinders the weights go on have groves to help keep clips/clamps in place.
The collars on the delivered handles are the spring collars versus what you see in the picture of the item that I actually ordered. also, there are quality issues with pitting in the metal on the ends of the handles. I'm going to go to the store and return these. I've heard from other product reviews related to weightlifting of similar issues and being sent different items than what was described. This is across brands, but the one common factor is that it's all from walmart.com. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to stop shopping at walmart.com.
Horrible quality! DO NO BUY THIS ONE! The picture is misleading. It comes with 2 cheap clips instead of the locking ones in the picture. They can't even lock 5lbs plate in place. After I swap the clips with my own Clout barbell clamps/collars the plates are still slipping. I measured the diameter of this handle, it's slightly smaller than the regular Olympic size sleeve on both end, causing any Olympic size plates with 2in hole to wobble. TLDR: Don't get this Claiming 140lb max weight is crazy talk.
Right off the bat the photo showing the bar has ring collars which is one of the reasons I bought it. Trouble is it instead comes with spring collars that is close to impossible to get them on the ends to hold the plates. They are so bad I threw them out and had to buy the collars the photo shows. Which is why value is 1 star. Caps customer service is nonexistent and they are not close to what they used to be.
This article in what's advertised with Chrome collars to tighten up the weight it came with these cheap little spring things that don't last very long.I'm really dissatisfied.I will never order for walmart again
Product pictured is not what you get. Comes with traditional spring clips not the pictured metal clamps.
