Best deal for 2" light weight cast iron plates. Not sure concrete plastic covered plates would be cheaper but not worth if the concrete weights were dropped. Simple thick gloss finish with no metallic odor or oily residue so these could easily be repainted to your preference.

The plates themselves are excellent. I originally went to the Bayonne NJ store to purchase the 10 lb. plates. At checkout they charged me $24 for each plate. I asked them to please check because they were two for $24 online. The cashier asked the girl next to her to check and then called two other people to check and they insisted that their in-store price was twice the price of the online price Naturally I didn't take them and ordered them online, for half the price.

These are very nice olympic (2 inch) weight plates. They look even better than the product pictures. They are constructed of cast iron and have a nice glossy finish that makes them smooth to the touch. Excellent construction and finish. For the price, they are an incredible value. I am an avid weight lifter and I have a very nice home gym with weights collected over the years from many companies. CAP is consistently high quality with high value. You will not go wrong buying these.

As advertised, weights weigh was they say they weigh. Met my expectations and they've been solid. I have dropped one on accident from about 5ft on concrete and it didn't get damaged.

The weight set (x2) is beautiful! The plates glisten under lighting and fit perfectly onto my Olympic-sized bars. I have already been getting more than my money's worth from these plates.
