CAP Barbell Olympic Rubber Bumper Plates (Pairs/Singles by sizes)

Got these on sale when I needed something that was full Olympic-sized for restarting deadlift workouts. Small plates that were light enough left me leaning too far forward. These were light enough and the right size. They had an odd galvanized-rubber smell straight out of the box, but... they ARE solid black rubber, so I guess that's to be expected. Perfect size, solid construction, great price. Exactly what I needed!

Garbage product. Packaging and shipping fine. Product cracking defective and damaged upon delivery. CAP delivers low quality item with worse customer service that respond way too slow or not at all. Thankfully Walmart refunded easily enough in store. Otherwise, I can see getting the run around from CAP.

This pair of bumper plates are great! They are of good quality and very sturdy. A great addition to our home weight set for our olympic barbell. We have had only smaller diameter plates and want to transition to these larger bumper plates, which work better for dead lifts. Excellent price!

The plates arrived quickly and are the appropriate weight and size, but they were coated in this slimy/oily substance and I had to hand wash all of them with dish soap to get the greasy feeling off, not ideal.

It’s hard to recommend a product when it’s the incorrect one and Walmart isn’t doing the bare minimum to send a replacement. 45 minutes with care and still no resolution. It is frustrating. Spend your money somewhere else

I’m super impressed with the quality of these plates for how cheap they are ($201 for 260lbs shipped). They’re my first set so I don’t have much to compare it to but they seem high quality to me, obviously time will tell. Not sure what everyone is talking about with the oil on the bumpers (maybe the manufacturer resolved this issue) but mine were very clean when i received them. I allowed them to air out in the garage for a couple of days and wiped them down with Simple Green.

READ MY REVIEW BEFORE PURCHASING. Oh my gosh. These bumper plates reek to high heaven. We have washed them 4 times and CANNOT get the odor to stop filling our home. It smells as if someone has smoked cigarettes inside for 10 years. People suggest using brake cleaner, etc but that removes the paint. We hosed them off initially, second covered them in chalk and washed that off, third wiped them down with baby wipes, and fourth scrubbed with dish detergent and hot water. THEY STILL STINK SO BAD.

Walmart was sold out of my first choice and my second choice was misleading. I thought a barbell set would have a bar with it and could not tell by the order. The quality and delivery was great, I just didn't get what I though I ordered.
