I'm just getting into EVOO for health reasons. I got a lot of feedback saying this brand was their go to for this... It is in a dark bottle.. It has the year produced, origins of where the olives are harvested, etc.. but it doesn't have the "bite" like I have read online that it should have. So I am unsure how to rate it honestly. But It does seem legit due to other reviews I read, and it does have a "different " taste than other EVOO that I have bought , so I honestly believe it is of better quality.
So tasty! Smooth and rich, I use it on everything; in cooking, and anywhere that calls for butter. Recipes, even cakes, cookies, and pies, I replace with this tasty oil and add an extra spritz of water. I appreciate the glass bottle and handy pouring that leaves zero drips! Try putting some on vanilla ice cream with a dash of salt, yummy!
That's why this tastes so good, it's stored right, it's made right and it's my go-to. I always have it on hand and use it for so many things. Winner chips, besides arrowroot water soaked french fries, are thin sliced good big russet potatoes and toss just with this and some kosher clean salt and cracked pepper, one layer thin in the microwave and you'll have the best potato chips ever, keep an eye on them.
I've teied several brands of olive oil. since olive oil (like honey) is a product that is often deluted with cheaper ingredients, caution is always encouraged. anything could be less than advertised. that waid, ... this brand is my best choice. The texture is thicker than most and bc its unfiltered, there remain tiny specks of olives in the oil. even more reassuring, is the heavy brown glass bottle and a cork style stopper, which is much more expensive packaging than a plastic bottle. to me, it says this company takes pride and great care of their product.
A highly regarded healthy food critic detailed what is most important in your Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It's non-GMO. It comes in an opaque, glass bottle. It comes from just one country. It's unfiltered. Finally, it is USDA Certified organic. Carapelli fits the bill on all of these! It lasts surprisingly long, too.
This is, by far, the best tasting olive oil for the money. It is NOT bitter at all. I don't cook with it, though. I use it on salads and as a finishing oil. I've bought the expensive ($40 ) oils, and they have been good, but this one takes the cake for taste and value.
Excellent taste, value, and if its "unfiltered extra virgin" claim is to be believed, fabulously healthful as well! Green, but not overpoweringly so. Have bought multiple times : as a dip for bread, to add to rice salt, to cook eggs, to add to hummus, basically anything cookery. BTW, works great with this type of sprayer: https://www.walmart.com/ip/TrendPlain-Original-16oz-470ml-Olive-Oil-Dispenser-Bottle-Kitchen-Gadgets-Air-Fryer-Accessories-Olive-Oil-Sprayer-Cooking-w-Stickers-Light-Blockage-B/16258953828
Very light in color and very light in taste, would be good for vinaigrette. I pour it on whatever I am cooking in the air fryer. olive oils are subjective. if you are looking for a mild flavor this one is for you! it comes in an attractive bottle for your counter or table.
This is international-level quality. The olive oil has a fantastic bouquet—rich, aromatic, and unmistakably authentic. It actually tastes like real olive oil, not one of those bland, flavorless oils hiding in a pretty bottle. It's so good you can enjoy it simply with bread. On top of that, it features the best pour spout I've ever used—and I've tried many olive oils from different countries. It delivers a smooth, controlled stream every time. Absolutely perfect. A product that's worth every penny.
It's quite good, I just like my EVOOs with a little more kick to them; a stronger peppery moment, etc. It is excellent for roles where a stronger taste is not desired. Very good for taking the edge off of highly seasoned foods. For example I mix some into Partanna's mufaletta olive salad, and the results are delicious!
