VERY chocolatey! With other brands I have to use more than the recommended amount to make a cup of hot chocolate so it doesn't taste like colored water, but that's not necessary with the Castle Kitchen. It's really good.

this is not your typical hot chocolate. there's no powdered milk product in the mix. the taste is fantastic and not sweet as dark chocolate should be.

Great taste and texture for being in the non dairy selection. It has a Sugar free version available as well. Sugar free is quite powdery tasting though, not a favorite. Beverage creaminess factor owing to what I think are tapioca perls, but uncertain there. I'm not able to digest most dairy, especially milk products, and have previously stayed away from dark chocolate, having read it can be a migraine trigger, however, being in need of MAGNESIUM (which comes in Dark Chocolate ) I thought I'd try this (no migraine triggered)-- and keep ordering refills. Recommend for flavor and creamy texture. I add hot water and Stevia, all I do. Pricey my only complaint. I like the amount that was given, however the Iron percentage is less than the dollar store hot chocolate from Tootsie roll, and this uses cane sugar another downside. Overall was ok

It doesn't have a dark chocolate taste It's fine for hot chocolate it just tastes like any other moderately priced hot chocolate

not sure why as the ingredients look good although I don't know what natural flavor is and it's not listed, but it it did not taste anything like hot cocoa to me either dark chocolate or other. it was even kind of bitter. I tried adding cinnamon but it didn't help. I thought it was very expensive and overpriced and I won't be drinking anymore of it cuz I really didn't like it.

The incorrect item was sent. Item pictured was ordered but not what was delivered. Considering Walmart's "accuracy" of late, just thankful I received and item close to what was ordered. I now order online from Amazon because accuracy is more important than getting the incorrect item rushed to my doorstep (or missing items).

I was excited about this hot cocoa being dark chocolate, but the sweetener used to make it sugar-free completely changed the flavor I really wanted. I was also expecting to mix it with water, but it requires a milk product instead. The price is high for this tiny little can, but I am thinking of using it for baked goods instead of my favorite beverage because the cocoa seems to be of high enough quality that I could make chocolate cookies with it. Otherwise, I won't be using it, and I definitely won't buy it again!
