Ghirardelli never disappoints. This Dutch process cocoa powder is perfect for use in baking brownies, and dark chocolate cakes. I have received some of the best compliments for my chocolate cakes using this cocoa! Wish it wasnt so expensive, but worth the extra cost for the quality.

I used to use another cocoa that is unavailable at this time. Tried this product to replace it. I am known for my no bake fudgie cookies- I made them with this cocoa and they were dry! I am for certain that I followed my recipe. I googled a little bit and it said that others had to add more butter or milk (some sort of liquid depending on what you are making) when using this type of cocoa. So I made the cookies again and added a little more milk and they were wonderful. I also made Texas sheet cake this morning and added a little more sour cream than what it calls for and it came out perfect. So, this cocoa is wonderful but know you may have to add a little more liquid for your recipes if they come out dry. It sure why exactly but when I googled it seems like it had to do with how it was processed.

If you have never tried this Cocoa powder, you are missing out. Just try is side by side to another popular brand, and it will blow your sock off. Ghirardelli Cocoa powder has a super deep, rich and full chocolate flavor. We actually add less than normal because of it rich flavor. We use it in smoothies, on breakfast waffles, in coffee, cappuccino and boost the flavor of yogurt, ice cream and even the best chocolate milk. This is the best Cocoa powder we have ever used and we give it 5 chocolatey stars.

This is my hands-down favorite cocoa powder for both everyday and special occasion cooking. It gives my baked goods an incredibly deep chocolate flavor, and because it's Dutch-processed, it provides them a rich, dark chocolate color. It's slightly more expensive than Hershey's and other brand-name cocoa powder, but the quality is A , and I prefer the Dutch-processed because of the aforementioned flavor and color. I DO wish it came in better packaging, but since it doesn't, I store it in an old Hershey's Special Dark cocoa plastic box with the front of the Ghiardelli bag taped to it with packing tape.

I love the consistency of cocoa. It is the perfect combination of sweetness and rich in texture and flavors. Something quick and delicious when you are in a rush.

Initially tastes like cocoa powder, but after a few seconds, it tastes like diesel exhaust. I was looking for a replacement for another brand of 100% dutched that is no longer made. I have since found other dutched cocoas with good flavor. Be aware that the flavor (and "notes" or undertones) varies significantly from brand to brand.
