Generally speaking, I am a big supporter of generic brands because for the most part, they're just as good, but a few products are worth sticking with the top name brand, and this is one of them. A good way to completely ruin a batch of home backed chocolate chip cookies would be to use the generic chocolate chips. Stick to Nestle's, people.
I can't see these as a snack. Unless you add them to other snack food like pretzels , peanuts and that sort of things. But you should try them out in chocolate chip cookies. You can eat a few then add the rest to your cookies, they make the best cookies.
I love the taste of Nestle Toll House Semi Sweet chocolate chips. They taste delicious, and taste awesome in homemade cookies and banana bread. I like getting the larger bag because it lasts me a bit longer for baking.
My wife makes the best chocolate chip cookies. She prefers the Nestle's Brand over any other brands . Thanks to Walmart for handling name brands at low prices!!!!
Delicious chocolate chips I like to add these two cookies that I make and brownies. It's also delicious in my zucchini brown recipe. These are definitely sweet, but not too sweet and they have that little bitter taste to it, but not strong at all.
so many things here...i buy this in bulk when i can at sams club....better value. many products are not putting as much chocolate in their products and adding fillers..you can taste this!!! the chips change in color and texture..the melt differently. the brownie and cake mixes lack flavor but not very dark color...coca is warm brown in nature not black!!! Then we add insult to injury ya'll raise the price and take away sales. During holiday periods since i was young my parents would stock up your products. You could get (2 ) 12 oz bags for $5.00. It's almost $5.00 for one now and the taste can be off....butterscotch flavor and scent way too strong!!! with that said i still buy some of your products they are better than most' But that's not your style....you used to be the best for home kitchens. Hey, we need you to be! ...For OUR Families and yours too!!!
They make good cookies, but so expensive. When will Great Value come out with a competing product? Nevermind, evidently they have. they just don't have them at my neighborhood store.
I was pretty disappointed with these semi-sweet chocolate chips. The flavor tasted overly sweet and artificial instead of rich and chocolatey. They also didn't melt very smoothly when baking and became grainy in my cookies. A lot of the chips were stuck together in the bag, which made them seem old or poorly stored. Definitely not the quality I expected, and I probably wouldn't buy them again.
This product used to be comprised of real chocolate. It is now flavored oils and bioengineered products. Texture is different. Size has been reduced while the price has increased. This means you have to purchase more to make traditional recipes that use 16oz bags. I will not be purchasing this brand or product anymore.
it has a chemical or artificial smell. it no longer smells like chocolate it tastes less like chocolate. it might be good in cooking but would no longer purchase for snacking or unbacked recipes
