CDM Coffee & Chicory Medium Roast, 13 oz

I do not understand why chickory coffees are so expensive, just irritates me as chickory is a cheap plant. This is smooth coffee, really enjoyed it. I make my own pumpkin spice without sugar, and must say, absolutely delicious! For some reason, Walmart is out-of-stock so much, they just do not order enough. But when in-stock, I order this smooth non-bitter coffee. I really enjoy the moment.

■The product: I always wished that Café du Monde would use a higher percentage of ground chicory in its famous Coffee~Chicory Blend ---but really, I have no complaint otherwise. CDM is a fabulous coffee and a taste of tradition. This New Yorker from Montana, who has lived in GA for years, and can, sadly, no longer travel to New Orleans ...gives it 5 STARS. Also, the price cannot be beat at $4.89. **As a side-note: French Markt chicory~coffee blends, canned, are delicious and affordable too. ■Problems with re-ordering: After Walmart no longer carried this product for a year maybe? -I was grateful to again see this CDM "Regular Chicory~Coffee Blend in the yellow vacuumed-package," instead of seeing only the decaffeinated orange package, which I CANNOT use. ■But of course, when I went to re-order today, 2 weeks later, it is no longer available ...again. PLEASE, WALMART, why do you play around with products and prices? I would order it regularly if you carried it regularly, even set up a subscription. ■It seems that EVERY TIME I HAVE FOUND A DEAL on ANY ITEM over the last few years: once you realize that it's being offered and I've ordered it at that price, you either •DON'T WANT TO FULFILL IT and you CANCEL MY ORDER, or •I receive it, but then you remove it from your system so that it cannot be ordered again. That seems to be your game. Shame on you. As a WM paid Member each year, I'd rather give the business to you than Amzn, as I cannot afford Prime, and I GREATLY APPRECIATE that WM gives free shipping on orders less than $35. That is extraordinarily helpful to me on an extremely small budget to JUST buy what I need and can get by with, AND ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS I still pay for a yearly membership with you. Thank you.

I used to exclusively drink French Market dark roast chicory coffee. this had absolutely changed the way I view chicory coffee. this had SO MUCH MORE flavor. it is nutty and Rick and dark smelling. like part of it smells like earth, but in a very very good way. this seems much fresher out of the brick, than French Market smells out of the brick. and the price can't be beat. just watch out what can you store your brick in after you open it. the standard French market tins are smaller than the amount you get in these bricks. I needed a spare French Market room for the 2 or 3 ounces that wouldn't fit in the can. just a complete victory. I am completely sold on CDM chicory coffee now. is darker, but smoother. more velvety. it's just worlds better.

Excellent, Love this Coffee So happy I found this. Now I can enjoy this chicory coffee without going to Louisiana, if you are a dark roast coffee lover with added chicory, then this coffee has the perfect flavor for you. The taste is wonderful.

This has become our coffee because its rich and smooth taste. We love the price because after trying some very expensive brands we believe this is better!

I drink a lot of coffee to the point of upsetting my stomach. I started drinking chicory coffee blend because it tastes like dark roast without being hard on the stomach.

I have a drink this coffee for 30 years. There has been such a radical change in the flavor. I called the manufacturer. They claim there has not been a change. I find it bitter.

The coffee is made by the same people who make a few of my favorite coffees French market medium dark roast ! HOWEVER THIS COFFEE SMELLED AND TASTED LIKE A MARSH?? YUCK!! I called the company and they never returned my call?? So much for they're customer service or standing by they're products,1

This is awful. I was so excited to get chicory coffee at a reasonable price. However, when I opened it up it was hard. Very obvious it's not fresh. There are literally chunks of coffee together. I've never seen such non fresh coffee to the point that it has chunks. Very disappointing. I returned.

This has no chicory taste at all. Very disappointed in it. I've had it before and it was good so don't know if they changed the ratios or a bad batch. Wii not purchase again.
