There is nothing quite like a good dill pickle spear on a hot summer day. As a snack. It's easy to overindulge, though, and these do have plenty of sodium. But it is wonderfully crunchy and tastes so fresh I have to stop myself, limit to just a couple. And the price is very fair. Claussen, to me, make the best pickled products.
Our %231 choice for Kosher spear pickles. We tried other brands and keep going back to Clausen. Now, it's only Clausen A staple in our fridge. When comparing prices, Walmart is usually least expensive. Remember this is not shelved with other pickles, stocked with cold items.
These are the best pickles. Super crisp, fresh taste, and actually have that good cold pickle crunch. Not soft or soggy like some others. Perfect balance of salty and tangy. Once you buy these, it is hard to go back to other brands. Always in my fridge.
i loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove these pickles so much. i cant count the times i found myself just opening and eating the entire jar after buying them. like it really messes with joints but i cant stop. honestly forget Pringles, these are the real "once you pop, you just cant stop"
these are fine pickles but they are too garlic forward. I will have to say my favorite pickles so far other than Boars head would be Members Mark from Sam's. Those are deli style chips but without the garlic. these are fine if you don't mind the garlic taste. I personally do. these are crunchy and not overly sour. I would recommend for a pickle lover but it all depends on preference.
I love the flavor of this brand of pickles! They are always so crispy and crunchy with the right amount of dill and garlic. The only thing with the spears is that the skin gets between my teeth as the skin seems tougher than others. I do prefer the baby dills or mini dills but these will do in a hurry. Great with sandwiches and burgers!
Typically my husband prefers this brand. However the last three jars I bought did not measure up to the Claussens we are accustomed too. They were very small, limp and skin was hard to chew. I hope it was just limited to those three jars. Will try again if the same will never buy again.
Either the product has CHANGED, or I got a BAD BATCH. Had no taste whatsoever. No vinegar at all. It tasted like plain cucumbers in water. Threw them out. UGH. BEFORE BUYING THIS JAR, THESE WERE ACTUALLY MY FAVORITE PICKLES, ALTHOUGH I DON'T PURCHASE THEM OFTEN, BECAUSE OF THE PRICE!! THIS WAS FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION....VERY DISAPPOINTING....
It's not Clausen's fault.I always have loved class and pickles. Thud, I have a feeling organ and was told if I eat anything bad or get another infection in my body it will kill me- and for 24 hours ive been munching on months expired pickles! I knew something was wrong because they tasted a little funny, but I just thought, well, it just got really cold out, Maybe i'm getting sick. I am extremely upset that these expired, the beginning of September and it's now November 9th that I bought them on. I always check expiration dates at the store. But when you order online it's as if they hope they can still make some money off of something that could do great bodily harm to somebody by sneaking it past them. Theyre going to get their pants sued off when they kill some one. Finally I ate one where the skin was so tough.I had to spit it out.And then that's when I started looking for the expiration date. Pickles, last an awful, long time. They have a very long shelf life. So that is absolutely disgusting. And for me its life threatening
The skin was thick and tough and I prefer a dill pickle that is actually sour/tangy like a normal pickle should be. Disappointed over all. They aren't even great in egg salad sandwiches. Will be throwing them out. Crunchy is about the only good thing honestly.
