I used this product to finish a desk after I had painted it. It has held up really well, even on the wear surfaces. I would recommend it for any project.

Excellent Matte Varathane
I have used gloss Varathane for various craft and home improvement projects in the past. It has always performed really well for me, but I had made some Christmas ornaments and earrings that I wanted more of a matte finish for instead of the gloss that I already had on hand. This met and exceeded my expectations. Quality product and I will happily purchase again when I run out of this can.

Lovely Finish
Super easy to apply with a brush or a sponge. The finish was beautiful, and rich looking. We used two coats, but I'm sure more would have deepend the matte finish even further.
