Clorox Pool&Spa pH Protect Pool Alkalinity Increaser, 5 lbs

This item worked great. It increased alkalinity while my ph remained perfect. I used 5 bottles of it to get my pool to the proper total alkalinity while my ph was unchanged.

My 12,500 gal. pool was less than 40 with alkalinity and 6.8-7.0 ph readings and i put it 5lbs. (one bottle) per day for 3 days and after the 3rd day it is now perfect at 120 alkalinity and 7.5ph. So far my ph is staying constant too (2 weeks). I recommend this to help with alkalinity and to help raise ph if needed.

Works better than a few others on our 18'x48inch above ground pool. After adjusting the alkalinity, my PH levels have been easier to maintain. Using the Chlorox brand chlorinating tablets and PH increaser also. Spending way less time with maintenance. Do follow directions, water crystal clear and a joy to play in.

This Clorox product really works. It is the easiest and fastest method we've found to increase the alkalinity and maintain an ideal pH range in our pool water. Proper pH protects our pool equipment and makes the water super comfortable for swimmers. I also noticed that this product helps to reduce the pH swings we sometimes experience with our pool water. A steady pH level makes pool maintenance so much easier. While protecting the pH level of our pool water, this product also optimizes the effectiveness of the chlorine we add to our water. We have had a pool for over 20 years but this year was the first time I ever used this product. It will not be the last. We have always struggled to maintain the right balance of PH in our pool. It would often get too low, then we would have to add A LOT of PH, which would make our pool cloudy. This product is very easy to use and gets the PH of my pool leveled out every time and keeps it leveled out. I also love the packaging that it comes in. Product is misleading! It advertises pool and spa however it is specifically for pools only and does not make that clear on the box.
