Used this in my 16x10 oval above ground pool. Put in the recommendation amount actually made it too high. I'm assuming a bit of my fault I'm rusty at pool chemicals and the last type I had was the much bigger metal sided. So i gave it 5 stars because it did work just too well in my case.

I ran a water analysis on July 2. The treatment plan called for 1 pound of PH Down. I did so. I ran a water analysis on July 8. The PH went too low and the treatment plan was to add 0.75 pounds of PH Up. So, the PH Down worked too well, but I was guessing how much 1 pound was. I now assume I added too much. Note: I live in central Florida and it has been in the 90s daily, with high humidity and a blazing sun but no rain from July 2 to July 8. I also added Clorox® Pool&Spa Scale, Metal & Stain Control at the same time as the PH Down. The pool water has become cloudy. I don't know what caused the cloudy water, but I will add Clorox Extra Blue Clarifier to clear the water. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Product is misleading! It advertises pool and spa however it is specifically for pools only and does not make that clear on the box.

Contradicting treatment plan
I am not sure if it the product or the app I don't like. I tested and scanned using the app. Over the past few weeks I have added pH up then pH down per app instructions . Tonight I realized the package instructions and the app treatment instructions are very different. The app had me adding 2.75 pounds while the package instructions had me adding 12 ounces. For a 10000 gallon pool that is quite a difference. I am prone to think this is a ploy to sell more product. I like the ease of simple testing at home, but do not want to feel I am being taken mislead.
