Works very well to support my damaged/arthritic thumbs when I do things like shovel or scrub. Comfortable to wear after an initial adjustment period to get it conformed to my hand size and used to wearing it. I measured a medium, but bought a large because I have large hands for a woman was worried about pressure on the joint, and it fit perfectly. It also has a soft elastic compression sleeve that you should wear under it for skin protection. I can now do things that I had given up because of a pain! I highly recommend this to anyone who has arthritis in their thumb… I have one for each hand.
It's very comfortable, although it takes a short while to get used to it on your hand. it cuts down the pain in my hand a lot. It is adjustable to fit your particular hand. easily washable by hand. not bulky so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb hahaha. Velcro straps for exact fitting. if it feels uncomfortable, keep adjusting it until it's just right. much cheaper than other online stores
This brace is considerably lighter, and works just as well as my custom made brace that cost over $100. They included duplicate velcro straps as well. I am extremely pleased and highly recommend it.

As expected
Great support for doing outside chores.
It did give support for the carpometacarpal joint, but was uncomfortable, and I was unable to wear it due to it, rubbing on the second it did give support for the CMC joint, but was uncomfortable, and I was unable to wear it due to it, rubbing on the intermetacarpal joint.
The brace did not fit me very well. The strap on the palm was too thick for my hand and the plastic hit the CMC too hard. If it fit properly, it probably would support the joint very well. At this price it is worth a try. The brace itself seemed to be of quality material and the extra strap is a definite bonus.
