Cobra DASH 2216D Dual-View Dash Camera | 1296P Resolution | Front and Rear Cameras

This is the 3rd camera purchase. The other two were purchased at Costco. Now we have one in each car. One recording saved me a $750 deductible when a red-light runner hit my car and totaled it.

Owned system about 2 weeks, installed just over a week ago. System works great except rear camera randomly disconnects. I keep checking cable and it must be a software thing? I love the picture quality and the audio is great. I have it mounted in the top left corner of windshield and the lane departure and obstacle warning kept going off so I turned those features off. Might work if mounted in center of windshield? Overall great, just wish rear camera would stay connected!

Had trouble trying to route cable for rear camera. It's too short to run down along the floor. Finally figured out I needed to run it under the header trim over the doors. NO INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS! Got in touch with Cobra trying to get longer cable or figure out what to do; got no help at all.

This duel dash cam is very nice. It could use a few more updates. Unable to view rear cam without using the sd card. I haven't mounted the rear cam as I haven't pulled the card out yet. So there's no way to tell which way is up. Instead of recording over older coverage. The cam tells me sd card is full. Then formatting is required. I was hoping to leave it active while my vehicle is parked. Very good for the price, still would like to see the above firmware added.

It's seems a good camera, but I haven't installed it yet, very heavy and stiff cables will make it difficult, in particular there is a Y adapter to connect the rear camera very close to the front camera, so you have to have a lot of wire close to your windshield.

The rear camera was not working correctly but with one phone call I was sent a new camera to replace the old one. This is my second camera and they work real good for my purpose.

I bought this camera to replace one that kept switching between cameras, failing to show rear camera, and sometimes not working at all or requires unplugging the power feed for several minutes because it is locked up. Will try and trace wiring back to rear camera to see if there might be a connection that isn't solid. I had it professionally installed to avoid this sort of thing. Looks like I'll have to tear it out myself.

The back camera picture is inverted no matter what I do. No matter what way I mount it or the settings I select in the front camera, the picture stays upside down. I've tried calling cobra support 8 times, yes 8 times and haven't been able to get through to anyone. I recieved 1 call back from escort support, even though I requested a call back from cobra support. I was told someone would call me back in a few minutes, yet that call never came. I really should've spent the money on a blackvue dashcam. I am very disappointed in the customer service from cobra and this dashcam.

Probably a quality check issue. Received the item today and box had four clear stickers on them and box didn’t look tampered with but wondered why there was an empty spot under the square camera that could be seen through the clear window of the box. Opened it up and sure enough the secondary camera was a tiny cube looking thing and doesn’t match the picture of the product. Don’t even want to try and see if it works and waste time installing if it’s not going to work for whatever reason. There isn’t anything the cube should fit into either to make it the shape advertised on the box. Product number on box matches what’s on my order so I don’t know why this happened

The camera does not match the description, does not match the picture, do not buy.
