tent stakes
This product did exactly what I hoped it would. 4 were used to stabilize a 2-man swing that kept getting blown over. The remaining were used to stake down the border around my flower bed to hold the mulch. Swing and mulch were also bought from WalMart.

Good to have extras.
Works well the for the price. Perfect if you have kids or are taking out big groups because they inevitably leave a few in the ground each time you move.

Work well, not perfect
I purchased these to replace the tent stakes for the Eureka Timberline 4 tents that have been marketed since 1973 and are used by our Boy Scout troop. They worked just fine in a mostly forest-type soil. After a single camping trip, many of the stakes were bent from excessive force being used when encountering tree roots or rocks in the soil. This seems to be consistent with the wear of the original tent stakes supplied by Eureka, so I won't be overly critical. Other stakes that are shaped to resist bending cost much more. The Coghlan's skewer steel tent pegs are good enough for now; we will see over time if they begin to rust.
