Cognac, Varathane Premium Fast Dry Wood Stain-384349, 8 fl oz

Seemed expensive for a half pint, but a little bit goes a long way. Easy to apply with Bounty paper towels. Oil based so I used gloves and respirator.

This is the first time that I've ever seen anything. And when I use this product it is amazing. I want to stain everything, it dries super fast and it has a beautiful finish that looks like the original color. I love it and now I want to stain every piece of wood in my house.

I purchased the cognac stain. It was the perfect deep red I was looking for. Easy to use, beautiful color, and easy to clean up using some mineral spirits. I would recommend if you're looking for rich color.

This one didn't work as well as the stains I have purchased before from Varathane. That being said, it may have been the piece I used it on, so I'll try again on a different piece when the need arises.

It's a beautiful color I had used on my sanded shelves to refurbish. It does leave a few streaks but maybe it's the brush? No matter. It still came out awesome!

I liked that it dried quickly and was ready to varnish in no time. The color was not nearly as red as I thought which is why 4, not 5, stars. But I'd buy it again for sure.

This product does what it says it will do. For my project I thought it was alittle too thick and not the same as stains I'm used too. But it has more steps added into it so it is expected to be thicker than regular stain. This will not be my first choice for future wood projects and stains, however I will not mark points off because it does what it says.

Does not dry fast , painted it one day around noon and the next day around noon was still fresh and stained my walls.
