Coleman 316 Series 120QT Hard Chest Cooler, Silver Ash

Coleman, although not the top-of-the-line in coolers, makes a good product and one that will work very well for an upcoming family reunion we are arranging. ********* Quart coolers are large enough for 3 or 4 fresh salmon. That volume for $70 is amazing!

I bought this because I was taking food up to my daughter in college and we were stopping overnight at a friend's and I didn't want the food to spoil. My current 1980's coller is too small for road trips/transport and I got the biggest one for a great value that I can find. The reviews seemed good and I figured I could return it. I love it! A few notes. It is quite large. Was a good size for this weekend, but prob too big for local needs. Let me repeat - it's very large, which means it takes a lot of ice to fill. I froze some large ice packs, had my ice machine run as much as it could overnight, and then bought two bags of ice. It did the job. I heard the ice slushing around 5 days later before it had all turned to water (this is in ~55 degree day temps). Overall I'm very happy I made the purchase - it will be used on many road trips to come.

I used this cooler to bring back an entire frozen turkey (feathers and all) and a frozen turkey breast from Texas to NC. It was an all-day trip (with a 3 hour connection in 85 degree DFW). When I arrived home, both were still frozen and only about 20% of the packed ice had melted. This performance exceeded my expectations for a modestly priced cooler. Highly recommend!

Just in time and at a great price! We had an unscheduled freezer defrost and risked the loss of frozen food. This large cooler was delivered just in time for a great price and saved our fiid storage. Now we have a huge cooler good for anything and future freezer unscheduled malfunction. Very satisfied with quality, brand, inline experience, fast delivery and overall experience. Great job walmart, you really delivered as promised in an unfortunate scenario.

I purchased this cooler for an up-comming camping trip, it is going to be three days. I saw the length of time it could hold ice, hopping that is the case (I am concerned with the thickness of the cooler). Also, the lid sealing is not what I expected, thought there would be a rubber seal, as is you have to make sure to push the lid to get a good seal. I like the Coleman brand and know they make quality products, I will know for sure in July when I go camping. Thanks Michael USMC Vetean

First off…Walmart shipped the wrong two items. Had to call to get it corrected but customer service was extremely helpful and had the correct coolers delivered within two days. As for the coolers themselves, seems to be fine and the lid is solid. We'll see how well it does in the heat.

Overall happy with the purchase. It did not keep ice for even a few hours but did keep things cool. It was used for drinks-they were not chilled going in, but were kept in a climate controlled room prior. It was a hot day and in partial sun but cooler was not opened for several hours. When the party started, drinks were cold but ice was gone. Cooler was moved to full shade and they stayed cold for the remainder of the party. Still happy with it, but better to know what to expect. Note that it is quite heavy when full and doesn't have wheels, so take that into consideration.

Bought this cooler to go on a camping trip. The cooler kept our food cold. But as the ice melted it started to leak from the valve used to drain the cooler. We tried to tightened the valve but if there was enough ice that melted and water in the cooler it leaked.

We used this cooler for a grad party and a 4th of July family party. It looks good. Felt good. Seemed pretty decent. The lid broke off between the parties when I opened it to put ice in. It was never abused. I have coolers that are literally 30 years old. The screws pulled out of the hinges. Very flimsy and poorly designed. It still works as a cooler but the lid is no longer attached. Won't hold up in the bed of a work truck or anything like that if thats what you are looking for. The cooler in my work truck is about 10-15 years old and has never broke. If you need that kind of durability—keep shopping. These are more to pull out of your heated garage once a year for an HOA party on your cul-de-sac.

Item arrived broken, the screws are missing and the latch part is broken, Walmart did a terrible job with return and refused to help. I had to speak to multiple customer reps. They stated it will take 10 days and I might receive a refund. No help what so ever.
