The Best Stove We've Used

CampingFiend July 27, 2016

The title says it. The stove's large top let us use a large pot and the three burners allowed us to also have a coffee pot on at the same time. It boiled water faster than we are used to. Be sure to watch the first couple meals you cook or you will have a burnt meal. The electric start makes it easy to get it going. We love this stove.

Great Camping Stove

CampingBud May 16, 2018

First camping trip really showed how poor my other stove was. My old stove took nearly 90 minutes to get breakfast cooked. With this stove using the griddle, we made pancakes, sausage links, and some scrambled eggs in about 20-25 minutes. Get the optional griddle. Great purchase!

Consistent heat, smart design, and perfect for family camping

MaritzaP May 14, 2026

The Coleman Even-Temp™ Propane Stove has completely upgraded my outdoor cooking experience. The installation and setup process is quick and hassle-free, getting you ready to cook in just a few minutes. Its design is very well thought out, especially with the wind-blocking panels that help maintain steady flames. In terms of functionality and performance, the heat distribution is incredibly even across the burners, making it easy to cook complex meals without hot spots. Despite its sturdy build, the weight is reasonable enough to carry effortlessly from the car to the campsite. It is a highly reliable piece of gear

Like it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stove worked well on a recent camping trip. Agree with another reviewer, the round burners tend to burn hot which is good for boiling water, just closely watch anything else you are cooking, as it can burn. Also bought the large carrying case (fit perfectly) and the griddle (cooked bacon and pancakes very well). Pleased with the purchase and definitely recommend it.

Almost perfect

John_bee January 9, 2024

The lid is the only "complaint". It latches closed with a push button, which is nice. But if the lid reforms at all over the years, being thinner sheet metal it definitely will, it won't function right. Ie popping open when using carring handle or not closing.

not my favorite It was damaged in shipment on the part that keeps it closed..cheap plastic I have an old Coleman that has nice clip to keep it closed they need to redesign the way to keep it closed. Overall the burners are OK I was use to my old fashion one that is made out of good metal

Hard to Regulate Flame

Diane August 9, 2020

I've camped for 55 years and have used many camp stoves. This is a great size...love the 3rd griddle burner. The biggest downfall is that you can't regulate the burners. They tend to flair up all by themselves. It is very difficult to adjust them and leave them for just a minute...have to watch them all the time.

poor quality, grill design dysfunctional

marisa September 27, 2020

Not sure what happened here. Coleman used to be something you could count on, at least in their stoves. I had a two burner self igniting prior that worked great for many years. I ordered this one in anticipation of a camping trip with my two boys. It arrived and despite the grill seeming to be a simpler (easier for cleaning?) design, there was only one hole for the edge of the grill to seat, the other three edges just sort of swung loose, the welding on the metal for the grill was misaligned so it did not sit flush with the stove, but tipped up and down once the one peg was in the "anchor hole". The little thumb screw to open the battery compartment for the self ignition was completely stripped and did not open in the manner described. We never could get it to open. MY old self ignition stove has an intrinsic spark, never needed a battery?! I was really disappointed in the quality and for the cost had to return it. It was not anything worth trying to work with. I was excited to have the triple burner option. Basically it's much bigger in size, the same two burners on either end, and a middle one squeezed in. Looking at it I don't think there is any way to get three pots cooking at the same time, but does allow for a bigger pan to be used with a smaller one. I was not happy with this product for my needs and what I had anticipated by the description given.

Poorly made

Ed September 14, 2022

Zero stars. Purchased in January, first used in June, failed in September. Only used on a table inside my house while my kitchen was under construction. While unscrewing the propane regulator pipe from the stove, the stove side connection broke and just spins around. Now the regulator can't be removed from the stove, and it leaks propane massively. The lid latch has never worked, and can't be adjusted. I had to hold the lid shut while carrying the stove. The stove flame knobs seem to have tension, so when you set your desired flame setting and let go, it slowly spins back, decreasing your flame. Also, the center burner can't be turned up enough to be useful, which is surprising because the side burners put out so much
