Fits the Coleman 2 burner stove perfectly. Picked up small silicone spatula from dollar store due to non-stick coating. It's a bit thin for metal utensils. Not a Campfire set. I can see uncontrolled or exra high heat causing these to warp %26 blister.
I bought this set for camping obviously, and I must say that my wife and I are very satisfied with our purchase. The non-stick coating works well, the removable handle (only one provided) for the small pot and frying pan is a great feature and the kettle is very large and useful. The lids seem a bit flimsy where the handle is attached but if you are careful this should not be a problem. We used this set to make chicken-n-dumplings, fry fish and of course boil water for some instant coffee; everything was good with all the utensils that make up the set. They washed/cleaned up easy and no problems storing the set. I would highly recommend this set to anyone wishing something inexpensive yet useful for camping.
Our kids loved this as part of their gifts for Christmas. Looks very useful. They do semi-rustic camping.
I am a Cubmaster and I ordered 2 sets. One for the pack, for when the pack does family camping and one for a group of Webelos 2 Cub Scouts, who recently crossed over into the Boy Scout troop, to start off their patrol box. Although the pots have not been used yet, they looked quite sturdy and true to size. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I've used the Coleman Family Cookware Set on multiple camping trips, and it's been incredibly reliable. The pots and pans are lightweight yet durable, making them easy to pack and carry. They heat evenly and clean up quickly, even after cooking over an open flame. The non-stick surface helps with both cooking and cleaning, and the handles stay cool enough to manage without gloves. It's a great set for outdoor cooking, especially for families or small groups. The included storage bag keeps everything organized and compact. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves cooking outdoors.
good for camping however you can plastic spatulas if not it will scratch i don't mind the scratches as long as it does not have that Teflon they work well.
The pots and pans are made from thin materials so the Teflon coating can easily delaminate if it gets too hot. The frying pan exhibited teflon delamination for me.
Size and weight of everything was great, and the easy to use portable handle was nice…. I am disappointed though that after only one weekend of camping, the larger frying pan, has to be thrown away… as cooking over a fire, which they are intended for, they do not hold up to any metal/grilling utensils. They scratch easily and now rust has already formed…. Over a 2 night camping trip…. Sad, but we'll be going back to cast iron
Wouldn't recommend the set for the simple fact the inner lining of the pans start to peel. Leaving you with reduce in your food and inside the pan.. They are easy to store and convenient which is a plus while camping and having limited space no issues with lids fitting either. Overall, safety of pans is in question from the lining coming off.
Do not purchase this item. After 3 uses the non-stick coating started to peel. Tried to work with Coleman but that was a big mistake. Save your money, I wouldn't pay a dime for this set.
