It does indeed look good on my new vitreous china drop-in basin. And installation was easy and uneventful (no leaks!). And the packaging was excellent--- came in a little pouch, with some little tools that will be of use,
But... four problems quickly became evident and there is no fix for them. One is that the blending of hot/cold that you control by swinging the flat arm left and right doesn't respond at all proportionately. If, say, you move it to 100% hot and wait until the water is at maximum temperature, and then swing back to the midpoint with the lever aligned with the spigot, the water temperature hardly drops. You have to go past the midpoint, to get water that is just warm, and there the second unfixable problem pops up.
The second problem is that it's noisy. No, I don't mean the splashing of the water in the basin is noisy; I mean that from out of the top of the column, right behind where the lever is attached on top, comes a loud white-noise sound such as you have never heard out of a faucet. It happens when the lever is near the horizontal midpoint but a bit on the cold side of it.
My surmise, is that the mechanism for blending the hot and cold in response to the horizontal angle of the lever is badly engineered. So what is the third problem? If you adjust the flow to a low rate, the descending column of water splits into TWO streams. One of them miserably looking drizzly. It's not that the aeration thing on the spigot was clogged. I removed it with the provided tool and it was clear. The reason for the splitting of the flow into two columns is the angle that the mounting point of the aeration device was given. It is tilted a bit outward, perchance as a stab at an aesthetic improvement. But the split drizzly stream is not pretty.
Finally, the fourth problem is that little box-like enclosure that is wrapped around the lever arm where it joins the column on top has sharp edges around the bottom. Very sharp. Should you want to use the little provided screwdriver to remove the lever arm, don't then recklessly grab the little box and pull on it. You'll be cut. It's a "small metal stamping." The metal needs to be thicker because it's actually too thin to effectively round over.
