the are really nice collapsible strainers. I like the sizes I only had the small ones so the larger size will come in handy to hold more. they strain really well and store easy once all done cleaning was easy as well. I recommend them if you are low on space and don't want a big bulky strainer.
I love these! They last a long time and it saves so much space being able to collapse them. That feature also makes them more versatile. For example it I keep it collapsed I can put some veggies in it an set it on top of a pot of boiling water to steam; and that's easier the the metal steamer gadgets that are made for that.
I like the way you can push it down, so it does not take up much space. I wish it had more of a lip on the bottom so that I could stand it in the sink and not have the drained liquid touch the food in the bottom of the strainer. I tried to hold the strainer as I drained the liquid but that did not work because the stainer is not sturdy and wants to collapse.
The idea is great, saves space. Unfortunately, between the 3 pieces the longest one lasted just 10 months, and were not used frequently. The seams where they expand all tore and are now in a landfill. It's sad, I am 68 years old and had until 10 months ago I retired my grandmother's metal colander that dated back to about 1948. That was value made in USA. So much for the benefits of today's global economy.
I have had this set (colanader) since November. One torn immediately a tiny hole, but still worked for lightweight food. The big one torn completely in half today when I opened it, not drained food in it. I am always careful to use things gently because I want them to last. This set is useless. The rubber is thin and fragile and obviously tears easily. I don't use them very ofter either. I probably used the large one about 10 times in 6 months. DEFINITELY DO NOT BUY.
These are a joke. The first time I used them, I strained noodles. Suddenly the noodles were falling all over the place. Boiling water was leaking onto my hands. The entire bottom melted and fell off! What? The entire purpose of this product is to use it to strain things yet it isn't heat resistant. Now I have a burned hand and noodles all over the place. Horrible product.
I picked these because they are collapsible which helps save on space but after only one month of use they are starting to break in the seam where it collapses. These will be going in the garbage.
During first use, dumped pot of spaghetti noodles in and the bottom of the colander fell out and all fell into sink. These are junk! I tossed all of them in the trash.
these came as a set of three. the first time I used it after washing them the material split where it collapses down. the second one I used made it 2 uses before the same thing happened and I have yet to use the smallest one. I believe the material is not right for this purpose. it's too stiff causing it to break. Do not recommend.
These qere so flimsy. When I tried to strain spaghetti noodles threough the large one, it split, and the noodlea fell into the sink. The remaining two are equally terribl
