When the strips are new from the store they are great, but they have a shelf life. Yes, they loose their sticking power and stuff starts falling off the wall if you have been storing them in a drawer for future use. So just buy what you need right now.

It's a good product, but pricey for what it is. That being said, the name brand is the best quality you'll get, so it is worth shelling out a few extra bucks to get the ones that work.

I purchased these command strips for pictures--by weight--relying on the stated claims of being able to sustain 20lbs. The decorative pieces I needed to hand fall far below that weight threshold. While applying these strips is super simple, and takes mere seconds, there is something wrong with the adhesive of this pack. Out of the box, once the backing was removed, the adhesive didn't feel very tacky or sticky at all. I tried the decorative dollar pieces I wanted to hang and even those inexpensive, light weight pieces held for no more than an hour before hitting the floor. I've used this brand before with success and I do believe this was/is a bad batch. Based on that I would suggest trying another product if you're looking to hand something of substantial weight.

if i could give this JUNK 0 stars i would have!! none of my pictures stayed up more than a week. when they started falling off the walls the sticky part was dry as dirt!! as many as i bought and as much as i paid for them i should havd just set my money on fire these things are worthless!!

I followed the instructions exactly, and it won't even hold up a small canvas wall art that weighs less than 2 lbs! It only stuck less than 10 minutes before falling. That wall art was expensive, and I'm just glad it wasn't damaged. They also wouldn't even stick to the wall on another framed wall art that was slightly bigger and weighs 5 lbs or less. This product should be discontinued.

I tried to use this as an adhesive for a curtain rod. these are supposed to hold up to 20 lb. we used of them to hold up just one side of the curtain rod and a different brand to hold up the other. This side fell down within minutes, and the curtains were nowhere close to 20 packs

Does not stand up to it's standard. Says it hold upto 20lbs; yet couldn't hold 2-3lbs max without the velcro detaching. The adhesive tape on the primary surface holds, but not the velcro. It was a waste. Not sure why there's velcro instead of tape, which holds better.

I purchased this item back to back because I thought it was my fault somehow despite following directions to a "T" and allowing the cleaned wall to set using half the package and the other half holding a <5 pound mosaic. technically, this should have held about 200 pounds. Spoiler alert, it didn't. The yellowing should have been a giveaway, these go bad before you can even use them.

I followed the instructions EXACTLY! I literally tried to hang a picture and used all of my strips trying to hang my canvas 1 pound picture. When I got to the step where you peel them apart to be able to press down then wait an hour- the picture would not separate. It kept pulling off the wall entirely, I had to keep redoing the strips because the adhesive would wear off. Waste of money!!
