Machine is ok had to replace my hubby other machine which is a CVS machine and really it's ok but not favorite. The other was thicker better for gripping, and this was I'm still trying to learn lol. But it's easy to use, setup and take reading. So it works, the reading are on point same as the old one. The only one thing it's narrow not made big hands lol.
Large easy to read display, lightweight, accurate and reliable; came with test strips, lancet pack, and a handy zippered nylon case which holds everything. The Contour Next ONE has almost all of the features of the larger meter in a more elegant and portable package. I now own TWO of the ONEs!
Best investment in a device I have ever made. The app allows my husband to see what foods impact his blood sugar the most. He checks in the morning every day and records his food. The next morning he can see the impact his food the day before had. He can then remove the suspected food from his diet.
It was a bit hard to accept that using and carrying a glucose meter with me is now a normal part of my daily Life but this glucose meter has made that transition to reality a breeze. The finger stick device is so gentle it doesn't hurt one bit and you only need a tiny tiny drop to test. I actually bought a 2nd one after getting my first one so I can have one at home and one in my daily travel bag. The lancets are pretty affordable priced and the test strips although the 100 strips is a bit pricey $100+ but it's decent priced for the 75 strips size. Overall I recommend this blood glucose meter over the others out there. It's very easy to use, connects to the app, very portable small compact sized, and puts your mind at ease. Highly recommend it !!
Beware this is not USB rechargeable (which is what I thought I was getting). That said, it seems fine (has replaceable "coin" batteries). The older meter, which I planned on on using until I die :-), was made obsolete by, what else, a new strip that's only compatible with this meter. The information as to whether the new meter can "use up" my old strips is classified at the highest level, probably in the nuclear football. So I'll use up all the old strips I have with the old USB rechargeable meter, which still works fine, and is actually much superior to the new one.
I love the meter, but the licensing for the software allows them full access and use of your private medical information. I bought it for the bluetooth connectivity feature, but I would not have purchased the meter if I knew they would use my information for marketing and whoever knows what other purposes.
The kit was supposed to have 20 test strips, yet there are only 10 in the box. I already have the same meter and bought this one for convenience when travelling, but if 20 strips are advertised, 20 strips should be provided.
This is a nice, small meter. My dad has one so I thought I'd get one too. Setup with the app is really simple and allows you to easily add extra information. My only complaint is the images show a label showing a special value 20 strips would be in the box, and the item is marketed as a value pack, but I received a regular box with only 10 strips. Very misleading.
It only came with 10 test strips instead of the 20 which was stickered on the outside of the box on the website. This is inaccurate product description . The product seems complicated to use, will be returning for a refund.
Out of the box, used three different strips; got an error message on each test. Says call Customer Service; have not done that yet but I figure you get what you pay for.
