I bought two!

CandyIdaho January 27, 2014

These multi-cooker's are great, I use then for everything, and when I do a small batch of tamale's I will use this steamer. This pot is really well built, and for the price, you cannot go wrong. I switched over to Stainless Steel cook ware last year and just love Stainless Steel, very even cooking and you do not have to worry about the pot peeling off material.

Great Pot

Marval45 September 9, 2013

I used this pot yesterday. I really like it, I did find I put in too much water and it boiled out from under the insert, so I scooped out about 2 cups and all was fine. and my pasta cooked perfectly. The pot worked great, it's so convenient not having to use a colander. It also came with a steamer which I haven't used yet but I will soon.

Superb Stock Pot

dani313 May 7, 2013

This is one of the best buys ever! A large stock pot, a spaghetti strainer, a steamer basket and a glass see-through lid all at once. What a buy! I bought this because my daughter "borrowed" my old one that I'd had for years and years. I was delighted to find that the new stock pot was just as well made and sturdy as my old one. Cannot beat the price or the quality. Don't spend $ on expensive cookware! This pot rocks!

LOVE this set!

pofpar March 12, 2017

they are very sturdy and I love the strainers in them! Perfect to steam veggies while your cooking up your spaghetti noodles or whatever, all in one pot! The only thing I would change is handles on pot and lid to be not hot to the touch but I'm ok with using potholders to save some money over the very expensive alternatives I found while searching.

SPAGHETTI POT

FKMaryland February 23, 2017

For the price, this is an excellent product. We purchased 4 of these for our Boy Scout Troop. The scouts can easily prepare there pasta for there meals. Cleans up very easy and stores well.

Good with Minor flaws

lorelilee2 August 19, 2013

This is a really excellent set, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, was that it doesn't have any instructions, so unless you've used something like this before, it's hit or miss as to how much water you need to put in. Also, the lid, which fits inside the steamer basket when it's upside down, is very difficult to remove, but it won't sit on the basket properly unless the entire pot set is put together. However, the pot does make perfect pasta, it is simple and easy to drain though I recommend you move it to the sink and don't pull it out over the stove, since when I did I ended up with a lot of water all over the stove. But it does serve the purpose I got it for.

Poor Quality Great Features

Denise November 1, 2023

Disliked puncture dimple on bottom surface of pot and pits on lip of steamer basket. Liked features of glass lid, steamer plus blanching/pasta strainer, thicker metal on base of pot.

Rust

orangetree January 31, 2014

I filled this pot with water and put the pasta insert in to cook pasta for dinner. The hubby came home and we decided to go out to eat instead. The pot stood overnight until I poured out the water the next morning. The water was discolored and rust spots had developed on both sides of the pasta insert. I have many pots and often let beans soak overnight in them without rusting. I returned it and ordered another brand.

Poor Choice, Cook Pro made by Excel

AceInTheCountry September 13, 2014

I cook for a family of 6 and sometimes more when we have company. I bought this Cook Pro cooker because the 5 quart Mirror one that comes with a set was to small for a pot of Chili or Vegetable soup. This cooker seem to have everything I wanted, a steamer, a strainer, a vented lid, the right size and looked real nice. When it arrived I hand washed it and I noticed the metal in the inside bottom looked strange but it was smooth. I started making a pot of vegetable soup. After filling the cooker with vegetables and broth I turned the burner on the stove to number 2 on the heat setting. My kitchen stove is a glass top and it only goes to 6 and then hi for the highest heat setting. A few minutes later I was washing dishes and noticed it wasn't sitting on the stove cap just right. When I moved it I noticed it rocked on the stove top. I lifted it up and looked underneath at the bottom to find a swollen place about 2 or 3 inches in diameter like a knot on a car tire. I returned the Cook Pro and got the 8 quart Tramontina Cooker and I am much more satisfied with it. If you buy the Cook Pro, I wish you luck. Maybe I just got a bad one.
