Lodge Cast Iron 10.5" Seasoned Square Grill Pan

I am so glad I bought this pan. It is awesome I love using it on the grill for the family. I have also used it on the stove And even made a cake for dessert No regrets on this one! 😊

I never received this grill from Walmart, due to delivery issues. I now receive codes for correct deliveries. However, Lodge cast iron products is known for quality. I own 4 of their products.

I'm a big fan on Lodge cast iron. I have the different size skillets, a taco fryer skillet, I ordered the 10. 25 dule double handle pan n I'll be doing some research on a 3 or 4 quart cast iron pan. I have a glass top stove n I can use them on it. I also have a medium size dule double handle one too. The cast iron pans quality are great n worth the price n money n I recommend checking them out too. You can bake, simmer n low medium fry with them.

Lodge and Cast Iron . . . what is there to say? On this pan, it's so much easier to handle and store with two smaller handles instead of the traditional single handle that protrudes much farther. This pan fits better in a pot/pan drawer, better in an RV, and doesn't hurt your wrist when you try to pick it up by just one handle. Haven't used my original Lodge pan once since getting this one.

Did a quick season on the stove top (wiped premium olive oil inside all over, and allowed it to smoke about 10 seconds, removed from heat- once cooled - applied a very thin coat of the same olive oil - ready to use) Cooked with it last night for the first time cutlets covered with flour, fried in Crisco. No sticking! After the cutlets were done, poured out Crisco added butter to the pan, then cooked sliced onions, made brown gravy from packet, put the cutlets back into the pan with the onions....AMAZING! No sticking at all! Wiped out the pan with a wet dishcloth, did another quick season. I look forward to passing this pan down in the family! I love the smaller handles, easier to use with a counter top induction hot plate! Lodge still making the best pans in the marketplace!

Walmart in store pick-up ROCKS! It saved me this year on Christmas. My husband asked for one of these. It was sold out at my local store. Found it at a camping/outdoor store and it was DOUBLE the price. Searched Walmart online and found it at another store located a short 10 miles away. Ordered it online and it was ready for pick-up the same day. Yay!!

Lodge does make some great cast iron and dutch oven cookware. This 5 quart Camp Dutch oven is no exception. It is well built and will provide me with many decades of service. On a side note, it does say it is pre-seasoned. Don't be fooled by this. That means it has maybe 1 coat of seasoning on it. After a lot of study, I have relied on this method of seasoning all of my cast iron and dutch oven products and it works great! Give it a try and do it BEFORE you start cooking in any of them. This takes some time, but once done you will not have to worry about it ever again. Here's the link: http://sherylcanter.com/wordpress/2010/01/a-science-based-technique-for-seasoning-cast-iron/. Or google chemistry of cast iron or cast iron seasoning with flax seed, but her article gives great instructions.

This is my best purchase of the year-wished I had bought it 10 years ago! I use it almost every day: steaks, chicken, pork, shrimp, burgers, veggies-everything comes out perfect. The pan cleans up easily and ready for the next day. I don't even put this pan away. I keep it out on the stove where it's ready for the next meal. Love the grill marks on my indoor grilled food. This pan is so sturdy I can see it lasting forever. I am SO glad I bought it and the price was excellent. My Mom used to cook on similar pans and I didn't understand back then how great they were. I'm so glad I have one now. It retains heat very well and heats evenly. LOVE IT!

AT 67, I've owned every kind of cookware that's been on the market the last 50 years. You CANNOT beat the old cast-iron pots and pans. I still have pieces my great grandmother, grandmother AND mother used to prepare some of the best meals ever. It's still my favorite and will literally last forever! It may not be the most compatible with today's cooking technology but, after spending money on various types of pans to use on my new ceramic top stove in hopes of keeping it nice and improving performance, I'm BACK to my cast iron and it works great!

I have only used this pan twice (they really need to ask for reviews latter and not so quickly). It felt good and solid in my hands, gave me the "burn" marks on meat that i was looking for and cooked them evenly. Its saids they come "seasoned", on my first try the meat stuck and was difficult to clean up afterwards (even used spray on oil). I re=seasoned the pan myself (IAW their directions on their website) and it works just like a non-stick pan. Bottom line: works great, just season the pan before you use it the first time so u are not disappointed.
