Lodge Cast Iron Seasoned Cast Iron Care Kit

My Mom told me I was stupid for my attempt at using this to season skillets I had barely used at all. So I never got to use this as Directed, exactly. It would be nice if it came with a larger capacity can of a spray oil such as Avocado oil, which has a higher smoking point than the included Canola oil.

Our daughter who is married with 3 children ages 2, 5 and 8 asked for an iron skillet large enough for her family. When I ordered the Lodge Cast Iron Skillet, this set was recommended. It has everything she'll need to keep it looking new for years to come!

I have recently gone back to cast-iron cooking, so has my daughter and family so I thought this would bea nice gift. I think Lodge products are high quality and prefer them over others. Walmarts price was lower, shipping was free ($7.85 on Lodge website. Delivery was lightning fast and arrived in less than 48 hours. And the delivery person placed it on the porch chair AND rang the doorbell. That is a big plus for me to avoid porch poachers. I have requested other delivery companies to do the same but they do not.

Purchased it as a gift and they love it. It came with my grandma's cast iron pot.

I like them because I can use the scraper to clean the pans and the oils is easy to apply. I used to use olive oil, but i would put yo much. With the oil can you just spray and put them up.

I love this purchase. It's the perfect kit for my new cast iron. This is my first time purchasing a cast iron and I was advised I'd need this kit to keep it cleaned and working properly.

I suppose the brush, scraper and handle are nice to have, but the oil spray doesn't spray, at least mine doesn't. I think it's a little expensive for a small can of canola oil spray (that doesn't spray) a small brush and plastic scraper and handle cover that is ok. I think you might be better off buying similar pieces individually. I'm a bit disappointed and wouldn't buy it again.

Everything is nice, but you can probably get all of these items individually for less money. The spray is just canola oil. There is nothing unique about the scrubber or plastic scraping tool. The handle is nice, but again, you can probably find one for less money that does the same thing.

The scrub brush's plastic casing broke after 4 uses and the bristles shed EVERYWHERE. Very poor quality. I have not even had this for a month!
