I am a non animal eater and this product is wonderful. Put it in salads, make a sandwich. Eat from the can!
These were very, very good. I really really enjoyed the texture. The only thing I would say is a little bit too salty and the consistency is a little off. It doesn't come apart and it gets stuck in your teeth a little bit, but overall the taste is very, very good
i will start by saying i am not vegan but do enjoy some offerings and try things often. this "chicken" was $2 so price was reasonable. first, there is alot of liquid in this can. taste was good but texture was no wear near chicken. it was spongy and chewy. its texture was similar to a cheap hot dog. slightly squishy with that type of chew. there would be no mistaking this as chicken in a chicken salad sandwich. it was decent overall though if you are vegan and the price was good.
You sent me 36 of overnight that I have never ordered nor could I use. How do I get rid of them-.This is what I dislike about errors. I do not want these. It should be picked uup
ODD to say I tried the bigger cans 12.6 ounce it hey are great taste like real chicken and the chunks like real chicken ,,,BUT odd the small can the broth did not taste good and the chicken did not look like chicken or taste exactly like chicken ????? both the same thing ? I wonder if they make the small cans differently ???
Now, I don't think all of UnMEAT products are bad (I do like the classic plant-based luncheon meat in a spam-like can), but this was a miss. These basically were heavily waterlogged chunks of plant-base protein that looks like chicken, but they are more water than protein. On top of that, one of the bits had something in in that had the consistency of a plastic bag chip. Furthermore, I have complained to the company about these cans before. UnMEAT cans are THE most difficult to open of all the pull-tab varieties, especially the meat-based ones. I don't consider these cans safe to open as the amount of force required to open them fully is enough to severely cut yourself on the lids. The only thing they have changed is printing opening instructions with a warning, that's it--they have not resolved the underlying issue of how they are manufacturing these cans.
This is like most of their products so it doesn't taste good plus walmart delivered the wrong flavor, again, and they won't give me a refund, again, too.
First of all, I weighed this with a digital and accurate food scale. I only got 2oz of "meat" and 2.5oz broth. Not even close to over 6oz as says on can. Texture like eating a thick rubber band, taste is worse. IT DOESN'T TASTE LIKE CHICKEN.
it was too chewy I've had fake chicken before but the other stuff is better this was gross they should grind it or something so it's not so chewy.
HORRIBLE!!! I've been vegan for 8 years and this literally made me gag! Smelled and tasted like you would think moldy cardboard would taste 🤮
