Was what I ask for
If you have high tough grass to cut I would not recommend this particular spool. 30 feet of line doesn't go far when cutting thick grass. However if what your cutting is easy thinner grass then these would be a good fit. They are easy to use and only takes a quick review of instructions to install properly
First, these are NOT Craftsman! The bags they are individually wrapped say, “MADE IN CHINA”. For the false advertising I took off a star. Beyond that shipping was fast. Spools are easy to thread and load into my craftsman weed wacker, fit, and work perfectly!! These are a great (cheaper) alternative for Craftsman preloaded spools that will run you 2 and a half times more.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Please do not waste your money on these spools the line on them you get halfway through start getting stuck then they start breaking. They're just not very well rolled up on there. They rob them so tight that it overlaps and pull them and then they break and stick and you end up loafers in a half a spool done lost like six spools like I said, a waste of your money by your own spring and rewind them yourself a little bit bigger hole in the spool so your string of fit and it will work a lot better. Hope this help you.
Why do the replacement spools not fit? Why would you sell a product and then change the replacement part that now doesn't fit?
Replacement spools don't fit making the trimmer worthless
I purchased we need a string and received supplement pills...
I have a cmcst900. The replacement spools inner diameter is smaller than the original so it doesn’t seat all of the way down and latch into the automatic feeder lever (the spool cap wouldn’t latch into the trimmer). I have had to trim down the inner diameter so the spool fits the center alignment cylinder and engage in the automatic feeder, my spool cap now fits and latches in like it’s supposed to. I shouldn’t have to manually trim to fit it, I’ve bought multiple replacement spools in the last 6 months and they’re all this way. Maybe my cmcst900 is defected and the alignment cylinder is larger than it should be? Either way, the replacement spools don’t fit my cmcst900 without manually making the inner diameter bigger.
Same problem as everyone else, trying to replace the spool in my dad's trimmer and the replacement spool doesn't fit. Seems like an arbitrary design decision made solely to fool inexperienced or older folks like him into buying the wrong product and wasting money, there's zero reason this shouldn't fit.
These were specifically advertised to be an exact fit to my specific Craftsman trimmer but they do NOT. The center hole is too small so I had to return them. If you take the same chance I did then you better make sure to check the fit right away in case they don't fit so you can return them.
