C&S Products Green Wire Suet Nugget or Ball Wild Bird Suet Feeder

I've had a lot of fun with this peanut feeder. It's a big hit and not expensive!. I have not tried it with suet nuggets. The only problem for me is with the plastic perches, They supply 3 and I actually bought a second feeder because the squirrels have figured out how to chew off the plaster washer that holds each perch on. I contacted C%26S and they very kindly sent me 3 more, but the dopey squirrels were right at it again. Someone commented they glued theirs in. I thought of that (hot glue?) but found I had some old keychain plastic rewards cards (for the drug store or grocery store) and the hole in those Is perfect for sliding onto the perch to replace the washer. I trim them to a circle and it seems harder for the squirrels to remove those. Not perfect but working ok for now. Anyway, this is fun and the squirrels need to eat, too.

This is easy to hang and fill. I cannot see ongoing activity from my patio because of location near the bluebird house, but the structure seems to be capable of bird seatings and keeping out squirrels.

I couldn't believe this was such a well-built item for the price was astounding! just what I needed. easy to fill. easy to hang. just the right size for any generic bird mix that has sunflower seeds Sapphire seeds peanuts etc

I love this feeder specifically for shelled peanuts. I remove the perches and fill with shelled peanuts (aka no shell) and it attracts SO MANY beautiful woodpeckers. Downy, hairy, and red-bellied. Other larger birds (such as starlings) have a hard time clinging to it so they give up pretty quickly. Word of caution, always always use the cover. One day I accidentally put it out without placing the top on, and a bird got stuck in it upside down. My husband had to cut it open to free him. Fortunately it is very affordable so it didn't hurt my wallet much to replace.

This feeder is the best $5 I've spent in a while. It is sturdy, easy to fill with the suet nuggets, and fun for the birds. As is evidenced by the picture, I have a family of Red Headed Woodpeckers, a Red Bellied and a Downey, as well as other bird species that visit. I easily installed 2 of the perches (there are 3 that come with the feeder), but the birds can grasp the cage itself easily as well. The acrobatics the birds perform are great to watch. I would gladly recommend this feeder. So far it has held up great! Well worth the money.

The woodpeckers find this style of feeder to be easy to retrieve the peanuts and it holds a sufficient amount of peanuts.

This is a pretty good sturdy feeder. I had a hard time opening the lid until I figured out you simply need to pull the handle arms out of the holes and the lid pops up easily. The perches are easy to attach but the birds aren't going on them. This mostly is attracting tiny birds and small woodpeckers. The big woodpeckers can't seem to grab on to it. I put suet balls and shelled peanuts in it and it holds them great.

The feeder itself is made out of metal but the sticks that you assemble are made out of cheap plastic that breaks even during assembly. The birds need to attach themselves to the feeder directly as they have nothing to sit on. The holes in the feeder are quite large, so small feed like sunflower or peanuts fall out through it. The squirrels have no problem cleaning the feeder in one day.

The washers that you have to slide on one end of each perch do not fit. I had three or four people try including my father who works in construction and my 22-year-old son and the washers do not fit on the perches
