I use these creosote logs along with creosote burning powder in my fireplace all the time. I finally had my fireplace and fire chimney cleaned after 25 years. The chimney sweep said it looked as if I had just had my chimney flu cleaned the year before it was so clean. I highly recommend this product.

Used these for years, they do what they are designed for, dries out the oily creosote that builds up in chimney flues and liners. I clean my own chimney so I see how these help every year. Albeit the price has gone up I still buy one or two as I fire my insert all during the cold season.

We've used these every year to clean out the fireplace soot and wasps nesting too it works great every time. Our fireplace is large, so we burn two and it does the trick.

This reacts with creosote and converts it to soot. You should read the instructions and suggestions This is a great product. I have used it for years.

Works great, fun to watch it burn. Can't really see it work by the nature of what it is and does. It's a bit pricey compared to other retailers and brands.

So definitely do this when it isn't going to get hot outside a short time later. My husband, kids, cats and I were all dying of the wonderful heat we didn't need. So don't be dumb like me. Ha

This sweeping log does the job but initial lighting takes a while. My expectations would be to light the wrapper on the log and you are done but required additional attempts to get it lit.

We have our chimney, clean and inspected at the start of every fire season. Then, I use one in the fireplace around halfway through the fireplace season. But I have no evidence that these really do anything other than rmaking us feel possibly safer (and thins out my wallet) Whatever . . . 🫠

The log is suppose to take an hour in half to burn. We lit a 6:00pm went to bed at 11:00 pm woke up at 3:00 am the remaining was still smoldering house was full of smoke and fumes smelled bad.
