Fantastic machine 🍦

Frank Black June 23, 2026

This machine is phenomenal! Quality, price and performance, all A+ It's so easy to make ice cream plus you know all the ingredients in it. Here are some tips to help. 1st use a pitcher, I know the recipe says to use a bowl but once you use a bowl and then realize you have to pour it, the bulb will go off. 2nd go at least 15 minutes. It may look like it's frozen but if you use a rubber spatula you'll see that the mix is still wet underneath. 3rd sprinkle your mix ins. IE I made the vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips. If you dump them in, they will ball up. 4th the container you're putting it in, freeze that as well. Take it out just before you're done. That way the ice cream will not melt as fast when you transfer it. 5th I used 1/2 and 1/2 for my cream and maple syrup. Came out fantastic. Here is the modified recipe I used: Vanilla maple-sweetened ice cream recipe is: 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp 1/2 and 1/2 1/2 cup pure maple syrup Pinch of salt (mix together) Then add 2 cups 1/2 and 1/2 1tablespoon pure vanilla extract The reason for the reduction in the first part is because the maple syrup has more water in it than table sugar. Enjoy 😊

Know what's in your Ice Cream

Mishy July 5, 2026

I made ice cream the recipe and the instruction booklet. It was so easy, tasted absolutely delicious, and I know exactly what I put in it. No chemicals that I can't pronounce nothing to stabilize it, it was absolutely fabulous.

Surprisingly Simple

TWM53 July 9, 2026

My daughter got one last year and said it was surprisingly simple and created great icecream if you use quality ingredients. I had a Amz gift cert, so bought one for myself. I love ice creams of all sorts and I was very impressed with a simple chocolate recipe that came out way better than I expected for my first batch. Even cut out 3/4 of the sugar to use sweetener and it was fine. Nice and creamy. Ultra rich chocolate. Anxious to try another like a vanilla with chocolate fudge swirled in or chocolate chip. The machine is clearly simple to use, simple freeze the bowl, follow directions for the recipe, tweak as desired within reason, turn it on and watch it magically turn into ice cream. Freeze to firm up and enjoy. Also simple to wash up after. Just don't overfill!

Making it at home.

Dan & Cathy June 28, 2026

We've been trying to have more control of what we eat and having fewer additives. So Ice Cream is one that has become to have so many chemicals, we are opting to make it ourselves. It's great and we know what's in it and it's doing just what we wanted. Natural and homemade.

Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker- ICE-21p1

Sharenna Dickens June 21, 2026

I loved my first Cuisinart ice cream maker so much that I officially bought a second one—because why settle for one flavor when you can run a full-blown dual-flavor production line? Now I can churn two completely different flavors simultaneously, perfectly satisfying my split-personality cravings. I also hoarded extra freezer bowls like a crazy person so the dessert train never has to stop. This little machine is fast, wildly reliable, and brings absolute joy to my kitchen. If you need me, I'll be buried under a mountain of homemade ice cream!

Love it !! Great for lactose free ice cream

Anonymous July 14, 2026

I love ice cream but dairy doesn't love me. I started purchasing sorbet but the flavor selection was limited and it was so expensive. I bought this to start making sorbet at home and my first attempt was a mixed berry with frozen berries and it was so delicious. Then I tried coconut ice cream, and loved that too. I started searching for recipes for ice cream using lactose free milk and lactose free cream. I found a lot. This machine is so easy to use and convenient. I'm really glad I decided to give it a try. It's a far less expensive way to enjoy ice cream again and to customize it for the lactose free alternative.

I love my new appliance. I use it all the time! I was so excited to receive this as a gift and never would have bought one for myself. If you are thinking about buying one… do it! So easy to use.

Frozen Yogurt Ice Cream and Sorbet Maker

Pattyb215 June 21, 2026

This works very well, easy to use and I have had good results thus far. The ice cream is ready to eat as a soft serve product right out of the maker, A short trip to the freezer in covered container hardens it up nicely. No recipes with the maker, but once it is registered Cuisinart provides access to recipes--what a relief. Most important takeaway from my reading reviews is to have your ice cream mixture ready to put into the maker as soon as you pull that liner out of your freezer.

Makes Ice Cream not Soft serve!

Kolobe04 September 26, 2025

This unit truly makes ice cream, not soft serve. I've tried a few makers before I settled on this one and glad I bought it! You must make sure not to over fill the bowl, I limit my mixture to 3 or 3 1/2 cups so when it aerates it doesn't overflow the 1.5 quart bowl. Batches are done in 15 minutes or more with alcohol added. You'll know it's done when the paddle can't make a rotation.
