I received the Cuisinart melting zone grill melting dome for testing purposes. I tried this when I made burger patties and wanted the cheese to melt. I covered the Pattie with the dome and it melted the cheese how I wanted it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This sped up the melting time for the cheese on our cheeseburgers. It used to take forever to get everyone's cheeseburgers done the way they wanted them.(sometimes someone's burger might have gotten over done waiting for the cheese to melt.) This melting dome is amazing, I had been looking for one for some time and I'm glad I found this one. The metal is extremely strong and really melts the cheese nicely, It's big enough to fit three to four burgers under it depending on size which is nice. the dome was bent when we received it. That makes it pretty useless since its primary purpose is to keep food warm while the rest of the meal is prepared. We are attempting to return it. It is a substantial implement, well built and we will order another to replace it.

This is actually a 9” dome. Still high quality but an inch bigger than it says.

Should buy a bigger size.
