Exactly what I was looking for. It did get a couple of black marks inside after the first use however that was probably my fault. I used high heat when I was trying to boil water. My bad, should have used Med High.
I am very happy with my purchase. I needed a new sauce pan this size and had a smaller one by Cuisinart that I just love, so I thought I would buy another pan from this same brand. I have been using it a lot since I bought it. I knew I would, that's why I needed it. I also find the stainless steel surface easy to clean. I am very happy with my purchase. If I need to replace any other pans, I will definitely choose another Cuisinart Pan.
This pan is pretty even weight, and cooking temperature. It's the perfect size for just that little bit more pan you need. I have both the one and 1/2 quart and the 3 quart.
An excellent pan that holds heat well and warms evenly. I bought it for an induction cooktop (and it works well there), again heating evenly. I love the handle; the lid (as the instructions say) will hold very tightly if left on cooling food, so I make sure to crack it a bit and all is well.
Great pot. Lid handle gets a little hot, though. Like the measurements inside the pot
This pot is a very nice to cook in and easy to clean. Working on removing non stick cookware from my kitchen so this is another step forward to that goal. It's an attractive piece of cookware in the stove as well.
I appreciate the measurement table included on the saucepan. The handles do not get hot. NOTE: I DID NOT RECEIVE A GLASS COVER AS SHOWN ON YOUR SAUCEPAN PHOTO!!! WHY? MY COVER IS ALL METAL!!! IS THIS CORRECT?EACH OF MY CUISINART POTS HAVE GLASS COVERS!!!
This 3 quart pan seems very slow to come to a boil; almost 30 minutes when filled with water. Also the longer handle can be a hazard as I have caught my sleeve on it when going to add ingredients to the pan. Lastly I received the pan as a Christmas gift and it has already developed black spots on the interior bottom. I have a non stick Cuisinart fry pan that I enjoy using but the pot is just OK.
The size, weight and balance of the 3qt Saucepan are beautiful. However, I'm concerned by the tiny black spotting on the interior that appeared immediately after the first use. Because it has the encapsulated aluminum, I hope this is not an indication that there is possible leaching and exposure to this element. The product is otherwise really nice.
I recently bought an induction range and was looking for a 3 quart saucepan. I was in a thrift store on found a Cuisinart model #7193-20. I had forgotten my magnet but searched and found this page which said it was induction capable. Imagine my surprise when I got home and found it was not magnetic and will not work on my range To have the same model in both induction and non induction is just dumb
