Cuisinart Normandy 19-Piece Knife Block Set, Stainless Steel, Precision-Tapered Blades

Very well made solid knife set. Great variety of knives. Very sharp and also stylish including the attractive butcher block . Would make a great gift ….wish someone gifted me these years ago. Definitely the best set of knives I've owned . Thank you for living up to my standards Cuisinart !!!

I have always hated knife blocks sitting out but, new house no drawer space for them. I love the knives and the block looks great. I love that is it slanted more than most so you pull the knife out at an easier angle. I haven't had a chance to use all the knives yet, but, the ones that I did, I loved!

I would prefer to use this set a year before giving a true evaluation of this cutlery set. I have yet to truly use every part of its 19 pieces and have bee limited to just a small handful of the complete set. I like how it is one piece, for those with ive had with wooden handles (wood has pores and it must be added to the metal cutting piece, which in my mind allows germs a lot more easily to be found) so I am satisfied of its well built all metal self. They seem to stay relatively sharp, yet will still need sharpening. The serrated knives are nice, but, except for the steak knives, ive had limited use. Thus, i have given a high rating even though i have had limited use.

A couple of years ago I gifted my niece a complete set she wanted for Christmas from the Pioneer woman collection that included knives. She was very happy, but discovered that they weren't performing as well as she would have like.. they didn't want to stay sharp. I did a little research and Cuisinart was in the top 10 of knife sets so I made this purchase. I can say that she is well pleased!! Only a few weeks after she started using them her husband cut his finger deep enough to have a few stitches LOL

One of the only COMPLETE knife block sets on the market with the correct ergonomic angle. Almost all others are too vertical. The scissors and sharpening tool make this set very useful and complete. We have a new favorite knife that came in this set: the 5” shintoku. The fact that each knife does not have wooden or composite handles means it will last for generations.

High quality knives. Feels great using them. Very attractive and comprehensive set. I could NOT believe the price! Shipping was quick too. My son is a gourmet and he has been limping along with a set of knives he purchased for himself and I enjoy mine so much I re-ordered these for his birthday. He loves them! Two very satisfied customers here!

My biggest complaint is with the steak knives. Steak knives should be smooth edged, not serrated. Serrated blades tear the meat instead of slicing the meat. The other blades are fine. I use the smaller ones a lot.

My husband bought me the 19 pc set as a gift and said they were rated very high (he has a tendency to buy only the best). We have both decided our older knives are much better. The steak knives are not very sharp at all, and the paring knife is very dull. I haven't used all the knives yet b/c I've been so disappointed and resort to what I know works for me. I tried to find something on-line that might tell me the issue is b/c they have to be sharpened first! Wish I knew
