Cuisinart Velocity Ultra 7.5 1-HP Blender

Love it!!! I had my previous blender for quite a long time. I was so sad when it died. My Cuisinart is absolutely wonderful! Quiet, powerful, great shape- love it!!!

Excellent product, very powerful. Due to the power and size of the cup, my blending duties have been cut in half. The high mode is very powerful so I used the low one. The blender is not as loud as previously stated. Blends superb. Cleanup is a breeze after use.

I was looking for a blender that had a higher speed, and this was the one I selected. It works great!

This is an excellent blender. It has plenty of power and very easy to clean. A great value when compared to other brands that were available and doesn't take a lot of counter space.

It worked well for about a month, but then it stopped working. The removable blade makes it easy to clean, however, it is also a design flaw in that if the blade isn't tightened completely then when you run the blender liquid will leak through and go into the base of the machine causing the whole thing to break. (and I mean the blade needs to be very very tightened.. i would have to use a rubber grip to tighten it enough to make it not leak)

I purchased this based on the strength of the Cuisinart reputation, but this has design flaws. The blade assembly screws into the bottom, as they all do, but it is surrounded by the walls of the container so it is virtually impossible to tighten it so that it does not leak. My fiance was making smoothies, and immediately had a mess all over the counter. SO I came in to save the day! I have strong hands, been in martial arts for years and my finger grip strength is far beyond hers, but even after I tightened it as much as I could, still leaked a bit. Then I had to use pliers to get it undone. Read the reviews on Amazon.com about this one, wish that I had. Numerous reviews, all saying the same thing. Is simply a poor design, Find a different blender. Ot be prepared to clean up constantly, and lose half your contents to leakage.

The drive broke within a year. The components of the drive include plastic components, so durability wasn't part of the engineering process. Disappointing.
