Curing Salt No.1. Quick Cure Premium Prague Powder XL 1.5 Pound Bottle by SPQR Seasonings

This was the first time I used curing salt. I have used this product 3 times so far, and after 10 days of curing, the brisket is noticeably broken down and tenderized. I am smoking a 10-day brined brisket to make pastrami right now. When I took it out of the brine today, it was very, very noticeably broken down and tenderized. I had to watch several videos to find out the difference between pink Himilayan salt and this curing salt. Apparently, the pink Himilayan salt is not the same thing. Also, not many stores have this curing salt and it usually takes a little longer for delivery. However, with Walmart I got mine in about two days. Excellent!

My husband has recently started grinding his own meat and making sausage. After many videos and tutorials he determined that he needed to “cure” some of the sausages. We were unable to find any locally, but Walmart had it online. The order shipped and delivered quickly. The product arrived as described and is a large container ensuring he will not need to reorder quickly. It seems to work great. Mixed in easily and did not add a strange taste to the sausage.

Its a little costlier than Mortons, but well worth it. Brined my corned beef perfectly. Highly recommend this purchase

This is one of the cheapest you can find, and it will last longer than you think.

Bought this curing salt expecting a full 1.5 lb container, but the actual weight was only about 1.38 lb when checked on a calibrated scale. That's roughly 0.12 lb (about 54g) missing. Product quality seems fine, but the quantity was short compared to what's advertised. Buyers may want to weigh it when received.

After opening the package, I discovered that the salt was spilled and the top lid of the product was damaged. The product was not properly sealed. I was very disappointed with this situation, as I urgently needed this item.
