Danco 3 in. Polished Metal Drain Stopper

WalMart had this item at half the price of Amazon. I ordered two because it was like a BOGO offer and it made my household repairs cost effective in both bathrooms (otherwise it would have been a $200.00 plumbing repair job).. Bezos may have to trim a few expenses on his 40 million dollar wedding day to stay on budget!

This is a great fix and does what it is designed to do. Fit perfectly, works well. Any other complaint could very well be operator error or misuse. If you have small children you might want to spend money on a real replacement as this might not last the entirety of their childhood.

This Danco drain cover actually exceeded my expectations. I was a bit skeptical about how it would fit with my tub drain, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it came with two sizes of rubber stoppers, and one of them ensured a perfect fit with my drain. Very happy about that! It's a great quality drain cover, and being chrome, I expect it to last! I love that all you need to do is push down on the top, and it locks the drain closed, and then a quick push again will unlock it. It won't just unlock if you accidentally push it with your foot or something; you do need to deliberately push it, so it's a really great design overall for any shower or tub drain. I recommend it, even to those who are worried that it might not fit; it probably will!

What a difference this makes!!! Looks beautiful and fits great. When I say, Extremely easy installation- I mean 1 minute! Lol. I removed my very old drain (25+ years) and voila this was installed in one minute! Not only is the installation easy- it functions just as easy. Push up and push down to control the water. I did not install with putty as my drain has rust which I will find a way to remove ASAP now that I have this beautiful cover! I don’t think I’ve had anything this easy to install! The only downside I could find is that it tends to leave a small amount of water around the base of this drain.

My drain cover was list some how and my grandson started spending a lot of time at our home so we had to find a new drain stop so he could take a bath while at our house. I was concerned we may had to remove the old drain because it was going to be impossible to find a drain cover to work. Danco came out with this EZ drain cover so you don’t have to change out your existing drain. It comes with several size rubber rings to fit. The drain cover is metal and really nice and heavy. It is made with really nice materials. It looks like it is going to last for quiet awhile. It doesn’t leak any water out when you fill the tub. It has a strainer with it to catch items from going down the drain. Danco thought of everything with this kit. Everything you need to install a new drain cover and strainer is included with clear easy to read and follow instructions. I wasn’t sure I could install this but once I read the instructions I was confident enough to do it myself. Great product.

We don't have a bathtub in our house but I thought this drain cover could work in my utility sink. It totally does!!!! I added both large and small gaskets to the bottom and it works beautifully! The stopper clicks down and holds water perfectly. Clicking the stopper again releases the water. Super simple! Beautiful solid chrome finish, all metal. No cheap feels here! Awesome!

When I bought my current house, the original tub stopper (the one with the built-in lever in the tub to raise and lower it) had long since broken and been replaced with a plain rubber stopper. I added a drain strainer to catch hair in order to minimize the number of times I have to pour drain cleaner into the septic system. After many years of use, the trusty old rubber stopper needed to be replaced. I liked the look of this one and the fact that it claims to include a strainer. I spent a long time trying to figure out how the strainer worked and how one would clean the hair out of it. More specifically, would you have to remove the entire thing to remove anything caught in the strainer? I could not figure it out from either the product description, the photos, or the reviews. So in a leap of faith, I ordered it (and a plain rubber stopper as a backup). It turns out, the product header is incorrect: there is no strainer. Basically, it replaces what originally came with the tub, except it operates with a push instead of a lever. Now I need to decide whether the small added convenience is worth the certainty that I will ocassionally need to deal with a clogged drain.

I got this for my kid's bathroom. We just moved and I upgraded some stuff in it. The drain looked awful, old and rusty. This came handy. Very beautiful shine. Super easy to pop open and close. The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars is the fact that takes forever to drain the water which is not very practical. Overall very good and beautiful.

One came broken

I bought this drain stopper because my new house did not have a built-in stopper when I moved in, and this one looks much nicer compared to those rubber stoppers. It is easy to use and does not let water leak through at all. I was super impressed for a week…then my toddler dropped it on the floor. The thing came apart immediately and couldn't be put back together. I figured, ok, that was basically our fault, and we need to make sure the toddler doesn't pick it up. So we gave this stopper another chance and bought another one. After about another week, the same two pieces came apart just after pressing it to drain the water. This thing is clearly poorly designed and very fragile. Please just save your time and money, and buy a dang rubber stopper instead.
