I want a hair color that doesn't have ammonia and peroxide. That leaves either henna (which can produce some strange colors in gray hair) or demi-permanent color. When Clairol stopped making a demi-permanent color, I found this product. Although it's marketed to Black women, nothing on the package says White women can't use it :-) It's very easy to use. Just squirt it on, comb it through, leave it on for a while (I leave it on for an hour) and rinse it out. Any stains on the skin after coloring, come off easily with soap and water. It smells nice and best of all, it "coats" the hair strands, which for me has a shining/polishing effect. On my gray, the color fades after four shampoos, but the product is gentle enough to use every few weeks.

This product was very easy to use. this products covers the gray, but is a shade darker than expected. I would purchase this product again.

Buyer Beware!! At first, I was thrilled to find this because I think this item is discontinued and in short supply. First red flag, box was old. The packaging has been updated with a new picture and design, but I received the old box. When I opened the box, there was half a bottle of color and a dried-out package of conditioner. Item appears to already have been used. SO disappointed, so BUYER BEWARE!!!

I purchased this hair dye for the first time from this company. I started applying it and immediately knew something was wrong, it was very watery upon application. I kept shaking it hoping that it would thicken, but it never did. So I tried to leave it in the required time of 25 minutes, but had to rinse it out because it started to run down my face after 10 minutes!. I contacted Walmart but since it was a third party seller, I was told that I needed to contact them directly. I did and received no response, no refund. I contacted Walmart informing them of the situation, and received no answer from them either. It cost $8.00, and I feel that Walmart should back it's customers up when the vendor chooses not to even respond to you, especially when they stole my money and issued no refund!.

Good product to cover gray hair, but you have to put it back in every time you wash your hair. It washes out of my relaxed hair after first shampoo. I would give 5 stars for covering the gray hair, but 1 star for not lasting after first shampoo. I would recommend. You will just have to purchase frequently since color doesn't last.

This description stated 3 pack. There was only one. It appears this was shipped from a beauty supply store and is very old. The picture on the box is very old and paper for instruction is faded. Will discard.

L they was so old that the leave in conditioner was dry and six of them had the wrong color and some of the bottles were flat. I am very disappointed and I want them replaced.
