At he ripe old age of 60 I have started to developed an oily hair issue that required daily washes, the side affect of skipping a day was itchy bumps forming that took weeks to go away. That all said. Selsum blue medicated resolved that issue in one week and have not had a return yet after couple of months and only use a small dab of selsum blue medicated every other day which stretches out how often I have to buy another bottle. This stuff only needs to be used routinely until your itch or other issues subside and then 2-3 times a week, so for what it is and the price it goes a long way and does a great job. Lathers up great and smells very good too.

Remember, its not a hygiene issues. Its literal genetics. Your body is just a bit different and there is no shaming in treating that condition. While there are a lot of products that do the same, I've found Selsun Blue to be the best that works for me. There might be better, more expensive, prescription medicated shampoos that are better, but for an over the counter brand I feel this one does a better job than others.

This tasted nasty. I took 2 bites. The second was only to believe the first one was as bad as it was. Honest to God. I like the fact that it makes my scalp tingle. Really takes care of the flakiness and the dandruff. Well worth the money. You can't miss that dark blue bottle either.

Okay! I was tired of dandruff and to hide it I used oil. I got 5 different anti dandruff shampoo but none worked. I used this product just once and it has been three days and my scalp is clear so far.

I use this to teeat my Tinnea Versa on my back (bra strap area is the worst, IYKYK) with a Walmart branded body scrub brush 2x a year. I scrub it on in the shower, let it sit 5 minutes, then rinse it off THOROUGHLY. This will likely give you a sulphur/rotten egg smell when you perspire for a day or two, that is normal. Usually a second shower will remedy this. Special Note- this is very poisonous to dogs, so dont let them get a hold of the bottle, lick residue, or your skin after washing until properly flushed. For me thia really keeps my outbreaks in check. i dont need to do it more than once or twice, a few times a year.

WORST UNBEARABLE SMELL OF SULFUR EVER! My husband was recommended this by his Dr for light dandruff in the eyebrows, scalp, and face. WORST DECISION EVER! We are still trying to get the horrible Sulfur smell out of towels that just touched towels he had used to wash off with. I have literally thrown out several and just pulled 5 out of vinegar soaks today to try to save. I can't describe the awful smell that seems to be stuck in my home now. The towels that were laundered with the exposed towels carried the disgusting smell just as much as the used ones. It lingered in the bathroom air for weeks. We read horror stories about the smell once we did some more research. We had bought this bc our FSA had allowed for its purchase and it was a total nightmare. Get a different product that doesn't contain sulfur is my only suggestion- they might be more costly but ruining expensive towels and biting through laundry products, time and frustration isn't worth it.

I bought this to deal with dandruff and itchiness, but I had a very negative experience with how it affected my hair texture. While the medicated formula is strong, it made my hair feel incredibly dry—almost like a straw mop. I tried to fix the dryness by using heavy conditioners and hair packs after washing, but nothing seemed to work. After using it only 2 or 3 times, I noticed my hair quality deteriorating so much that I had to stop using it and throw it away. The scent was also not to my liking and felt a bit too medicinal. If you have very oily hair, it might work for you, but for anyone else, please be careful. It might get rid of the flakes, but it left my hair feeling damaged beyond repair. I would not recommend this if you value the softness of your hair.
