At he ripe old age of 60 I have started to developed an oily hair issue that required daily washes, the side affect of skipping a day was itchy bumps forming that took weeks to go away. That all said. Selsum blue medicated resolved that issue in one week and have not had a return yet after couple of months and only use a small dab of selsum blue medicated every other day which stretches out how often I have to buy another bottle. This stuff only needs to be used routinely until your itch or other issues subside and then 2-3 times a week, so for what it is and the price it goes a long way and does a great job. Lathers up great and smells very good too.

I have been suffering from itching and burning scalp and hairline and neck area, so I tried a popular brand of dandruff type shampoo. It did help a little previously, but recently my scalp had worsened. So I read some comments about people being recommended Selsun Blue by doctors, and thought it was worth a shot. Well it soothed the angry red itchy patches and felt like a cool balm on those areas. After two uses my flare up has mostly gone and I will now always keep this on hand. It smells slightly medicated but minty, so I didn’t find that unpleasant. Also fairly rich formula will give you some lather!

Ok crusty head people…. Let me change your life. Mix selsun Blue medicated shampoo with your good smelling shampoo everyday of your life and you will fight dandriff no more…. Been using it for 20 years and have not had a day of dandriff again. Now the smell smells medicated which is what ya want, bit you mix it with whatever you like and let it do its work. Changed the game for me years ago. Give it a shot.

Remember, its not a hygiene issues. Its literal genetics. Your body is just a bit different and there is no shaming in treating that condition. While there are a lot of products that do the same, I've found Selsun Blue to be the best that works for me. There might be better, more expensive, prescription medicated shampoos that are better, but for an over the counter brand I feel this one does a better job than others.

I have a missed hair condition with hair gets oil and scalp gets itchy easily. By using this just twice, the symptom would improve right away. It’s my summer savor.

I buy this for both me and my teenage daughter. We have two totally different hair types. But amazingly it works well for us both. I have fine thin naturally more greasy hair. I know, EKK! She has a lot of long thick naturally curly hair that weighs a lot and has to be thinned regularly or she gets headaches. But we both had dandruff issues. I have to wash my hair everyday. While she only washes hers like once a week. But it has helped us both so much! I don’t see flakes on either of us anymore and it doesn’t itch. So I will not be using anything else!

I have had dry scalp for a while and nothing seemed to work, I looked into everything and when I say I am so glad I tried this shampoo, It has saved me. Now I can style my hair with confidence and know I won't have flakes everywhere. I just love it. I have been using it for awhile and I won't buy anything different.

I purchased Selsun Blue Medicated shampoo on the advice of my doctor to help with my very itchy scalp. I use it every morning, letting it sit on my scalp for about 5 minutes before rinsing, and now my scalp is mostly itch free. I haven't noticed much dandruff either after I started using Selsun Blue Medicated.

Applying this product to treat tinea versicolor. If it works out I will come back and update this review. It’s been a week and so far there is no visible change or improvement.

I use this to teeat my Tinnea Versa on my back (bra strap area is the worst, IYKYK) with a Walmart branded body scrub brush 2x a year. I scrub it on in the shower, let it sit 5 minutes, then rinse it off THOROUGHLY. This will likely give you a sulphur/rotten egg smell when you perspire for a day or two, that is normal. Usually a second shower will remedy this. Special Note- this is very poisonous to dogs, so dont let them get a hold of the bottle, lick residue, or your skin after washing until properly flushed. For me thia really keeps my outbreaks in check. i dont need to do it more than once or twice, a few times a year.
