My husband and I had been looking for the perfect dark roast coffee for ages when we decided to try the espresso roast as our daily cup. We’ve been hooked ever since. It’s been years now since we found our favorite & I can’t recommend it enough if you are a dark roast black coffee drinker looking for a smooth one.

A five am wake-up for my wife's job necessitated a new alternative for my night owl spouse. My search began by sourcing eight dark roast coffees and comparing them. The complex flavours and caffeine content enabled me to get her on the road for her commute with a satisfying kick. We are happy to consider it our new favourite.

This is my favorite variation. Just the right amount of flavor, not too dark and not too light. I usually add caramel sauce and white cocoa powder for what I call a “Ghetto latté” (since there's no milk or cream)

Dark Roast is one of our faves, next to espresso! Every flavor of coffee that Death Wish offers is superior in taste, quality and selection to any other out there. We are customers for life!

This coffee is absolutely delicious. The aroma alone is amazing the moment you open the bag. It smells insanely good and even better while brewing. The flavor is bold and rich like you'd expect from a dark roast, but it's also incredibly smooth with no harshness or bitterness. You can tell it's a high-quality coffee and the fact that it's organic and fair trade are nice bonuses. I'm officially a new fan of Death Wish Coffee and will definitely be buying it again.

I first discovered this coffee brand when I moved to St Pete, FL and bought it at the grocery store to try out. Next time I went, they were no longer carrying the whole beans so I started ordering on line. It is strong, smooth and perfectly flavored. It has become my favorite.

"I have no strong flavors one way or the other." Definitely not bad but not bold enough for my liking. If you're looking for coffee that tastes like coffee look no further. There is absolutely nothing offensive in this bag but nothing that's gonna blow you away either.

The overall quality of this coffee (whole beam bean) is very good. Great smell and silky mouthfeel which i like a lot. The taste however is less than stellar. If I hadn't made the coffee myself I would have sworn someone flicked their cigarette ashes into my cup.
