Delmonte's pears in 100% pure juice are perfect, and they taste good without all that heavy syrup on them. (Note to Store: please keep these stocked, as it is hit-or-miss getting these when ordered.) I buy mostly store brands for a lot of my groceries, but I buy Delmonte pears for their quality and appearance - no brown spots. Plus, they are always a little soft, never hard like I have found in store brands. Good fruit is pricey whether it's fresh, canned or frozen, but I've chosen the vegetarian lifestyle, so fruits and vegetables are the largest part of my daily meals. Side note: Walmart has consistently good fresh vegetables.
Excellent quality. It would have been nice if the expiration date showing on the cans was not within 4 months. Normally the expiration date is about a year out. Still wish it was offered with shipping 12 cans as it is difficult to locate in the store.
I really like this product it tastes delicious and the price is reasonable. I also like that they're packed in their own juice without any added sugar. I would definitely recommend.
The only canned pears we buy. These pears are scrumptious. We love them with Oregon Cherries in their own juice and in salads with blue cheese and walnuts.
Compared to any other brand these are superior. Others I have bought have hard pears, stems, seeds and hard centers are present
great frozen for dessert for flavorful fruit and good fiber. About 10% of cans had slightly underripe product leaving a slight bitter after taste. Sporadic but expensive so conscious of discrepancy. I try to be aware of expiration date and season.
Looking to make Pear Salad so I bought these. Del Monte is a go to brand for me for canned fruits %26 veggies. However, these halves were smaller than ones I have purchased in the past. Even family mentioned the small size of the halves. But I'll still stick with Del Monte brand.
I never received the any of my order and have only gotten part of it refunded. The other item you asked me about was the hummingbird feeder that I also did not receive. My entire order was given to a different customer and I have been fighting to get my refund. I want the entire amount I spent on the order refunded because I got zero products. Why can't Walmart get refunds correct??? WHY IS THE WHOLE AMOUNT NOT REFUNDED AS IT SHOULD BE??? I placed the original order then added to it so it all was given to someone else. Customer lack of service knows this but does not correct my refund to reflect the entire order.
The pears were really hard to cut. I would not recommend this for anyone surprised that Del Monte did this, but don't buy this one. The pairs were really hard. It's almost like the pairs weren't done they weren't ripe.
DO NOT BUY.!!!!! Shocked at the size, 2” , pear halves that taste very bitter and were absurdly small. This must be yet another Del Monte way of increasing their profit margin …..again. I would rather pay more for an original plump, tasty normal size canned pear than a mini pear that actually tastes like chemicals. The miniature pear halves each equal one bite. So six small bites with ¼ slice of another half. Worst victim of Covid inflation. Talk about SHRINKflation!
