Love the color and texture of this paint.. it's always consistent. Every year if I need to touch up my outdoor metal furniture, this is my go to. It's great quality for a great price.
Nice looking coating, just need to make sure you shake the can very well, much more than a normal to standard type spray paint. Had two cans, both emptied very quickly,it seemed to cover about half as much surface as a normal spray paint can would. You also need to continue to shake can while applying to get the best consistancy in the texture in the paint. Nice option to have in paint with texture added, just need to be prepared for more steps than normal to standard spray paint and I would also double what you think you will need for your project.
The color is a noticeably lighter than the cap color even when fully dried, disappointed. The push button is extremely stiff and in no time hurts the finger, all 4 cans were that way. The color looks great and went on fine otherwise.
I bought this to apply to cinder block for a colored finish. It was a substitute option for one that had the pebble finish. I assumed the textured would be comparable. The color is nice has different tones in it when up close which was one of my objectives. However, the textured is not as obvious as the "pebble" variety of this product. This does not give a comparable finish to the the other variety. It is muted, subtle and attractive. It would be great for flower pots or maybe shutters where you want a durable finish but not one primary color. The cost of each can isn't a selling point and can vary up to $4 each. Therefore, it is a good idea to price check or catch on sale. While I haven't had this paint on anything long enough to evaluate durability, my previous use of Rust-oleum paints has been good. They go on smoothly and last outside in extreme temperatures for several years. If you want a finish that has pronounced particles in it, go for the "pebble". If not, this should suit you fine.
I have used rustoleum's hammered spray paints multiple times in the past, in particular with the copper color without having any issues, but this one like the hammered brown is horrible. The can will initially spray and then it will spit and drip paint. When it works, it looks great, but ultimately, it's a big waste of money. I thought maybe it was the spray nozzle and I switched with other spray nozzles that worked on other cans, to no avail.
Sadly I can't recommend this product. I love the color and the look, but every can I've gotten, which is at least 4, resort to spitting drips of color instead of spraying. I'm extremely disappointed as I love rustoleum products and I do love the color. I kept buying it thinking maybe I got a bad can, but every can has been like this and these purchases were not in a row, but over weeks. Such a waste of money as this wasn't cheap.
I shook the can for 30 minutes while i gathered other supplies. The paint sputtered a few time when i pressed the nozzle. And then: nothing. A whole can of paint and zero propellant (i guess) no air when i inverted the can, as well. Waste of money, waste of a rare afternoon when the temperature outside was perfect and the wind was still.
This is the second time i have ordered spray paint from Walmart and both times I received cans without the nozzle to spray the paint out. The cans also felt empty . Returning both cans.
This is absolutely the worst spray paint I have ever used. And I'm 73 years old and have used a lot of spray paint in my life so I have some experience . It either comes out all at once, producing runs, or hardly at all. And I used 3 cans and did not get even coverage on what I was painting at all. It is a huge mess. Over $30 down the drain. I don't know if you sell an inferior product at Walmart stores or if they would be this way anywhere. Now I've got to start over. Thanks a lot, Walmart and Rustoleum. I will think twice about using your paint again. Oh, yeah…and it hurt my hand to use it. What is up with that?!
The spray tip broke off. This has never happened to me before. It makes it very difficult to use because I have to hold it in place with one hand while I spray with the other.
